Report: Michigan St. RB Delton Williams expected to rejoin team

According to sources with knowledge of the situation, Michigan State suspended running back Delton Williams could rejoin the team this month for summer workouts.

Fantasy Spin:

With Williams potentially back in the fold, the Spartans will go into came with four running backs vying for the starting spot. Sophomore Gerald Holmes and redshirt freshman Madre London came out of spring ball deadlocked at the top of the depth chart. Incoming freshman LJ Scott is expected to get immediate carries once he steps on campus. Williams will have to make a big impression to get back into the rotation come this fall.

OU quarterback Baker Mayfield suffering from shoulder fatigue

Per NewsOK:

Oklahoma QB Baker Mayfield has shoulder fatigue but does not have structural damage.  The soreness is reportedly due to throwing too many reps in practice.

Fantasy Spin:

There had been a scare last week about Mayfield' shoulder, but this report seems to squash any concern.  The Texas Tech transfer is competing for the starting job with Trevor Knight and Cody Thomas, and can't afford any injury setbacks this close to camp.

Whoever wins the job will run Lincoln Riley's Texas Tech-like offense.  Riley was the offensive coordinator at East Carolina from 2010-14 and helped the Pirates put up silly passing numbers.  The hope is that he can do the same in Norman.

Report: Ohio State QB Braxton Miller close to 100 percent, to "announce immediate plans next week"

According to the Columbus Dispatch, Ohio State quarterback announced via Twitter that he had a successful checkup with Dr. James Andrews and is nearing full health. He also intends to announce his immediate plans next week.

Fantasy Spin:

This could potentially be big news..or could be nothing. The meaning by "immediate plans" is unknown at this point. If a transfer were to happen, that would leave Cardale Jones and J.T. Barrett left at the position. A position change has also been mentioned has an option as well. There is not enough information out to know what exactly is happening. Stay tuned!

Rutgers RB Paul James expected to be 100 percent for fall camp

According to Rutgers head coach Kyle Flood, senior running back Paul James is expected to be 100 percent by fall camp after missing most of last season with a torn ACL.

Fantasy Spin:

Rutgers is loaded in the backfield, but this is great news for James as he is a cut above the rest in terms of talent. Some of the younger backs like Josh Hicks and Robert Martin will still receive carries, but expect James to be the primary ballcarrier.

Former Louisville WR Michaelee Harris will play for Akron in 2015

Former Louisville WR Michaelee Harris will transfer to Akron for his final season. He is eligible immediately as a graduate transfer.

Fantasy Spin:

Harris could be a solution to an Akron receiving corps that has a ton of questions, pending he stay healthy as he has missed extensive time due to injuries in his career. The former 4-star recruit has 59 catches in his career and will challenge for a starting spot.

Report: Asiantii Woulard transferring to USF

Per ESPN's Joe Schad, former UCLA quarterback Asiantii Woulard says he is transferring to USF.  Woulard had previously committed to USF before backing out and heading to UCLA.  He is from Florida.

Fantasy Spin:

Unless he wins an uphill battle with the NCAA, Woulard will not be eligible to play this fall due to those pesky transfer rules.  But he is a name to file away for 2016.

Utah State releases WR/KR Jojo Natson

Utah State announced via a press release that they have parted ways with wide receiver and kick returner Jojo Natson.  In 2014, he was second on the team with 51 receptions and 504 receiving yards  He also carried the ball 40 times for 498 yards and 3 TDs.  He was named first-team All-MWC as a punt returner.

Fantasy Spin:

Big loss for the Aggies.  The triple threat was the only player in the country to score multiple touchdowns rushing, receiving and returning in both 2013 and 2014.

The question is:  will Natson's absence lead to more looks for WR Hunter Sharp?  Or will he be shackled by double-coverage?

Top JUCO WR Deniko Carter unlikely to play for Utes in 2015

According to Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham, top JUCO WR Deniko Carter "looks like he is not going to make it" in terms of his eligibility for the upcoming season.

Fantasy Spin:

Who is going to catch the ball for the Utes? Kaelin Clay and Dres Anderson graduated, leaving just Kenneth Scott as the only proven playmaker of the group. Deniko Carter was going to be looked upon to come in a contribute right away, but that doesn't look to be the case anymore. Scott and 6'5" Tim Patrick are the likely starters for Utah.

Former West Virginia RB Andrew Buie transfers to Charlotte

Former West Virginia running back Andrew Buie will transfer to Charlotte for the 2015 season and is immediately eligible.

Fantasy Spin:

Charlotte already has an established starter in the backfield in Kalif Phillips, so Buie will likely be the No. 2 running back in the rotation.

Report: Notre Dame RB Greg Bryant to be suspended four games

According to Irish Illustrated, backup Notre Dame running back Greg Bryant will be suspended the first four games of the season. It has not been officially announced by the school as of yet.

Fantasy Spin:

The former five-star recruit was expected to be the primary backup in 2015 to starter Tarean Folston, but will now miss all of September if these reports are true. WR/RB C.J. Prosise took reps in the spring at running back and was explosive with the ball. He may be better than Bryant so this isn't much of a loss.

Former Wake Forest QB Tyler Cameron transfers to FAU

Former Wake Forest quarterback Tyler Cameron has transferred to Florida Atlantic and will be eligible in 2015 as a graduate student.

Fantasy Spin:

Cameron takes the third spot on the depth chart with senior Jaquez Johnson securely at the top. Unless an injury takes place, Cameron is unlikely to see the field.

BYU's dynamic duo ready to roll in 2015

At BYU Media day, starting quarterback Taysom Hill and running back Jamaal Williams both announced that they are at or close to 100 percent, and will be ready for the season opener against Nebraska

Fantasy Spin:

This is excellent news for those who covet Hill and/or Williams in an upcoming draft. Both players rushed for over 1,000 yards in 2013 before missing chunks of last season due to injury. The only question mark now surrounding them is the daunting non-conference schedule that features the likes of Nebraska, Michigan, Boise State and UCLA.

Purdue WR Danny Anthrop set to resume full activity this summer

According to the Indianapolis Star, Purdue senior receiver Danny Anthrop has been cleared medically and can resume all football activities during summer workouts.

Fantasy Spin:

Before suffering a season-ending knee injury against Nebraska that kept him out the final three games, Anthrop was the top target on a poor Purdue offense with 38 receptions and four touchdowns. Assuming we see better play out of the quarterback position in 2015, Anthrop could be in line for a solid season pending he remain healthy.

Washington QB Cyler Miles retires from football due to injury

Due to a chronic hip issue, Washington quarterback Cyler Miles is retiring from football and will not play for the Huskies.

Fantasy Spin:

Most were already counting Miles out of the UW quarterback picture as he was on a voluntary leave of absence from the team prior to this news coming out. The Huskies will determine in the fall who will start at quarterback between junior Jeff Lindquist, redshirt freshman K.J. Carta-Samuels and true freshman Jake Browning who enrolled early and is on campus. The competition is wide open at this point.

Report: LSU has landed Purdue transfer QB Danny Etling

According to a report, former Purdue quarterback Danny Etling will transfer to LSU. He will have to sit out the 2015 season, but will have two years of eligibility left.

Fantasy Spin:

While he won't have any impact this season, Etling should find himself in the middle of a heated QB competition in 2016. With Anthony Jennings in hot water due to his recent arrest, and Brandon Harris failing to secure the starting job this spring, Etling could come in and start from the get-go as he will get a year to sit and learn the playbook from the sidelines.
