Per, Auburn WR Sammie Coates will declare for the NFL Draft.  He graduated early from college last week.

UPDATE: Tyreek Hill dismissed from football program


Oklahoma State has dismissed junior wide receiver Tyreek Hill from the team after he was arrested and accused of punching and choking his pregnant girlfriend.    

Fantasy Spin:

The prevailing thought is that Hill will now turn his attention to the 2015 NFL Draft.   Given the climate of domestic abuse in the NFL at the moment, Hill's draft stock is sure to plummet.

Tyreek Hill arrested on felony domestic complaint

Disturbing news out of Stillwater regarding Oklahoma State RB/WR Tyreek Hill.  

Per, Hill was arrested Thursday night on a felony complaint of domestic violence involving his girlfriend.

The girfriend told police officers that she and Hill were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated into a physical encounter.  She alleged that Hill hit her in the face and choked her.


Fantasy Spin:

Serious and sad allegations here.  It seems highly doubtful that Hill will play in the team's bowl game vs. Washington if these charges hold.

UCLA coach: Brett Hundley leaving for NFL


UCLA’s Brett Hundley will end his collegiate career in the Alamo Bowl, coach Jim Mora said Thursday, according to multiple media outlets.

“This will be his last game as a UCLA Bruin. I don’t know that he’s announced it yet, but we all know that’s the case,” Mora said, according to Ryan Kartje of the Orange County Register. “I’d like him to go out with a successful game.”

Fantasy Spin:

No surprise here.  All eyes will be on freshman Asiantii Woulard this offseason to see if he can win the starting job.

Western Kentucky QB Brandon Doughty has received a sixth season of eligibility from the NCAA.

Some great fantasy news here.  Doughty led the country in both passing yards (4,344) and passing TDs (44).

The Post and Courier is reporting Clemson QB Deshaun Watson will have season-ending ACL surgery on Friday.  Cole Stoudt will start in the team's bowl game.

Fantasy Spin:

At least the people at Clemson came to their senses on this one.  No need for your star QB to continue to play on a damaged ACL in a meaningless bowl game.  Get the surgery done, and come back strong in 2015.

Louisiana Tech will be without two starting offensive linemen today vs. Marshall due to being academically ineligible.  Per the News Star:

Louisiana Tech will be without five starters and six total players for Saturday's Conference USA title game at Marshall due to academic issues.

Offensive linemen Tre Carter and Mitchell Bell, along with reserve running back Tevin King, defensive tackle Aaron Brown and linebackers Terrell Pinson and Tony Johnson are all academically ineligible and won't play.

Fantasy Spin:

Carter and Bell are two of the team's starting o-linemen.  What kind of affect will their absence have on RB Kenneth Dixon and the passing game?  That is the question.

Miami TE Clive Walford will have knee surgery to repair his MCL, and his bowl status is up in the air.

Fantasy Spin:

Walford emerged as one of the top fantasy tight ends in the country.  The senior is likely to rehab and begin preparations for the NFL combine rather than worry about a silly meaningless bowl game.
