G Martin (BAY)

Lache Seastrunk, Glasco Martin could return Saturday

Baylor could be getting both Lache Seastrunk and Glasco Martin back for the big game against Oklahoma State this weekend.

Fantasy Spin:

Art Briles hasn't exactly been forthcoming with injury news on his top two running backs.  He did say they "ran extremely well" in practice earlier this week.  Shock Linwood owners should watch this one very closely during pregame warmups.

09:24 AM
T King (LTEC)
K Dixon (LTEC)

Kenneth Dixon doubtful to play vs. Tulsa (knee)

La Tech running back Kenneth Dixon is unlikely to play against Tulsa this weekend due to a knee injury he suffered last weekend.

Fantasy Spin:

Tevin King will likely get the start.

09:23 AM
T Yeldon (ALAB)
K Drake (ALAB)

T.J. Yeldon is a gametime decision with bum ankle

Alabama running back T.J. Yeldon is listed as a 'gametime decision' to play against Chattanooga this weekend as he is not fully recovered from a sprained ankle.

Fantasy Spin:

Yeldon becomes a very risky play as the Tide obviously doesn't need him in this laugher. This could be good news for Kenyan Drake owners.

09:20 AM
S Carson (SCAR)
M Davis (SCAR)

Mike Davis doubtful to play vs. Coastal Carolina?

South Carolina's Mike Davis is unlikely to play against cupcake Coastal Carolina this weekend due to a shoulder injury.

***UPDATE: There are conflicting reports on this one.  Some are saying that Davis could be alright to play. Stay tuned.

Fantasy Spin:

Shon Carson would get the start if Davis is a no go.  Stay tuned to this one as the reports are conflicting.

09:18 AM
K Carrier (NMEX)

Kasey Carrier out for the year with concussion

New Mexico running back Kasey Carrier is out for the season with a concussion.

Fantasy Spin:

Carrier was one of the better fantasy backs in the country.  Tough to find a replacement of his caliber this time of year. Crusoe Gongbay will probably get the starting nod in Carrier's absence.

Utah QB Travis Wilson out for season, maybe career

Per the Salt Lake Tribune:

Utah football coach Kyle Whittingham announced Monday that sophomore QB Travis Wilson will miss the rest of the season after a "pre-existing" neurological condition was revealed following testing in the aftermath of a first-quarter concussion Wilson suffered in the home loss to Arizona State.

Fantasy Spin:

Terrible news here for the Utes. Wilson started out the season hot, but has cooled off considerably recently.

C Hoffman (BYU)
M Mathews (BYU)
T Hill (BYU)

BYU WR Mitch Mathews out for season

BYU wideout Mitch Mathews is out for the season with a shoulder injury.

Fantasy Spin:

More looks for Cody Hoffman.

11:06 AM
C Fajardo (NEV)

Cody Fajardo questionable with sprained foot

Nevada quarterback Cody Fajardo is questionable to play this weekend as he nurses a sprained foot.

Fantasy Spin:

A sprained foot is not what you want from your dual threat QB.  Fajardo did return to practice, but perhaps we should temper our expectations this week just a bit.

11:00 AM
T Boyd (CLEM)

Tajh Boyd exits Thursday night game with bruised shoulder

Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd left Thursday night's game vs. Georgia Tech with a shoulder injury and did not return.

Fantasy Spin:

Boyd was examined in the locker room, and did come back out and seemlingly asked his coaches to come back into the game, but with a 48-24 cushion, there was no need to plug him back in.  He had a stellar day prior to the injury, racking up 340 passing yards and 5 total TDs.

Boyd owners might have dodged a bullet here.  Let's hope the news continues to be good in the coming days.

C Journell (VTEC)

Va Tech kicker Cody Journell dismissed from team

Virginia Tech kicker Cody Journell has been dismissed from the team.

Fantasy Spin:

Dump and run.

B Mitchell (NCST)
P Thomas (NCST)

NC State might play two QBs this week, oh joy

NC State head coach Dave Doeren said that he could play two quarterbacks this weekend vs. Duke, Brandon Mitchell and Pete Thomas.

Fantasy Spin:

This one has fantasy headache written all over it for Mitchell owners.

11:58 AM
R Linwood (BAY)
L Seastrunk (BAY)
G Martin (BAY)

Lache Seastrunk, Glasco Martin both injured in win over OU

Baylor running backs Glasco Martin and Lache Seastrunk were bothin injured in last night's win over Oklahoma, and did not return to the game.

Seastrunk apparently hurt his groin and could have returned if needed.  He is listed as questionable for next week's tilt with Texas Tech. Martin, on the other hand, is doubtful to play due to an injured knee.

Fantasy Spin:

Shock Linwood filled in with 23 rushes for 182 yards in their absence. If Lache is a no go next week, Linwood becomes a hot fantasy commodity.

11:54 AM
T Reese (BAY)
B Petty (BAY)
A Goodley (BAY)

Tevin Reese done for the season with dislocated wrist

Baylor wideout Tevin Reese will miss the remainder of the regular season with a wrist injury suffered against Oklahoma.

Fantasy Spin:

Tough news for Reese owners as they prepare for the fantasy playoffs.  This shouldn't hurt Bryce Petty's fantasy value too much as Baylor has other decent WR options, but it doesn't help either.

Levi Norwood and Clay Fuller will attempt to pick up the slack in Reese's absence.

November 05
03:14 PM
W James (TCU)
B Catalon (TCU)

TCU RB Waymon James suspended for Iowa State game

TCU running back Waymon James has been suspended for Iowa State game.

Fantasy Spin:

James was not a major factor in the running game this season.  He was merely serving as the backup to B.J Catalon.

03:12 PM
T Armstrong (NEB)
T Armstrong Jr (NEB)
T Martinez (NEB)

T-Magic will not play vs. Michigan

Nebraska's Tommy Armstrong will get the start at quarterback when the team faces Michigan. Taylor Martinez is still struggling with a hip injury.

Fantasy Spin:

Armstrong is a sneaky play this week vs. a bad Michigan defense, if you're in a Big Ten heavy format.
