Once again, Sterling Shepard is a gametime decision

Oklahoma WR Sterling Shepard is considered to be a gametime decision to play this week.  The star WR has been dealing with a groin injury for the past few weeks.

Fantasy Spin:

Frustrating situation.  Shepard can't be counted on until he can prove himself on the field.  If he doesn't play, Durron Neal and Michiah Quick should continue to be the top receiving threats in the Sooner passing game.

River Cracraft plans to return on Saturday

Washington State WR River Cracraft reportedly will return action today vs. Arizona State, after missing a few weeks with an injury.

Fantasy Spin:

If these reports are true, it could hurt the fantasy stock of Tyler Baker.  Stay tuned to Twitter prior to kickoff to see if Cracraft is a go.

D'haquille Williams has yet to practice since injuring knee

Auburn WR Duke Williams has yet to return to practice after spraining his MCL a couple weeks ago.

Fantasy Spin:

The Tigers offense looked off last week against Georgia.  Sammie Coates and Quan Bray need to step it up to help Nick Marshall get that passing game back on track in Duke's absence.

Coach says Jarvion Franklin 'likely' to play

Western Michigan RB Jarvion Franklin is nursing a sprained ankle, but his coach P.J. Fleck expects him to play on Saturday vs. rival Central Michigan.  Per

The 6-foot-1, 220-pound back suffered a run-of-the-mill ankle sprain, not a high one that could have presented more of a challenge in the recovery process.

"It's severe enough where you sit there and say it's going to cost him discomfort, but it's part of football," Fleck said. "He has to be tough enough to handle it and he is. He's out here warming up and getting loose and he's practicing, which is good."

Franklin's right ankle was heavily taped Sunday and he didn't put any stress on it. According to Fleck, that will be the approach the staff takes with him for most of the week of practice as they evaluate him and make a final decision on his status.

"He's out here practicing, but we're going to limit him a lot," Fleck said. "The good thing is you don't look at it and go, 'Oof, that's going to be a few weeks.' We'll just take it day by day and go from there, but I expect him to play."

Fantasy Spin:

The timing on this injury couldn't be any worse - right smack in the middle of the fantasy playoffs.  Franklin owners are going to have to make a tough decision on Saturday:  bench their star RB, or play him at less than 100 percent.

Trevor Knight expected to miss another game

Oklahoma QB Trevor Knight is expected to miss this week's tilt with Kansas due to a neck injury.

Fantasy Spin:

Cody Thomas put up decent fantasy numbers last week on the ground, but he really struggled through the air.

Jaelen Strong is questionable this week due to concussion

Arizona State WR Jaelen Strong suffered a concussion last week and is considered 50/50 to play this week vs. Washington State.

Fantasy Spin:

This would be a real shame from a fantasy perspective as the matchup this week vs. Wazzu is outstanding .

10:54 AM
D Garman (OKST)
M Rudolph (OKST)

Daxx Garman unable to practice (concussion)

Oklahoma State QB Daxx Garman has not been able to practice this week due to concussion symptoms.

Fantasy Spin:

Mason Rudolph would likely get the start this week vs. Baylor if Garman is unable to go.

M Williams (VTEC)

Another injury to a Virginia Tech RB

Virginia Tech RB Marshawn Williams is done for the year after sustaining a torn ACL.

Fantasy Spin:

The Hokies have been decimated at the RB position.  J.C. Coleman is now listed as the starter, but he doesn't get anybody too excited from a fantasy standpoint.

T Ward (ORST)
S Woods (ORST)

Terron Ward (knee) likely done for the season

Oregon State RB Terron Ward is likely done for the rest of the regular season with a knee injury.

Fantasy Spin:

Storm Woods should be able to fill in and produce in his absence.

UMass QB Blake Frohnapfel doubtful for tonight's game

UMass QB Blake Frohnapfel has been downgraded to doubtful for tonight's game vs. Akron.

D Watson (CLEM)

Good news for Clemson's Deshaun Watson

Clemson QB Deshaun Watson has been diagnosed with a sprained LCL and bone bruise.  This is good news, as most feared he had torn his ACL.  Watson could return at some point this season.

Fantasy Spin:

They are saying Watson is day-to-day.  The Tigers face Georgia State this week, and finish things off against in-state rival South Carolina.  You can bet they will want Watson back for that finale.

Everett Golson has sprained AC joint in throwing shoulder

Notre Dame QB Everett Golson sustained a sprained AC joint in his throwing shoulder in the loss to Northwestern.

Fantasy Spin:

It's not known at this time whether or not this will affect his playing status moving forward.  If the injury is enough to keep him out of their next game with Louisville, Malik Zaire would step in.

Todd Gurley tears ACL, out for the season

Georgia RB Todd Gurley is out for the season with a torn ACL.

Thomas Rawls logs only three 3 carries on Saturday

Central Michigan RB Thomas Rawls only carried the ball 3 times in Saturday's game.  He had been nursing a knee injury that apparently last week.

Fantasy Spin:

Devon Spalding (22-147-2) and Saylor Lavallii (11-35-0) carried the load on Saturday.
