A Davis (USF)

Report: USF's Andre Davis suspended for 1st half vs. Houston

USF's Andre Davis will reportedly be suspended for the first half against Houston.  Davis was ejected vs. Cincinnati for throwing a punch.

Fantasy Spin:

It's doubtful that Davis can make a viable fantasy impact in just one half, given the plodding nature of the USF offense.

D Anderson (UTAH)

Dres Anderson out for the season

Utah WR Dres Anderson is out for the season with a knee injury.

Fantasy Spin:

The Utes don't have a potent passing game, so with Anderson out, look for the targets to be spread amongst a number of people, including Kenneth Scott and TE Westlee Tonga.

J Doctson (TCU)

Josh Doctson's ankle makes 'drastic improvement'

TCU WR Josh Doctson's sprained ankle has made a 'drastic improvement', and he is expected to make the trip to Morgantown this weekend for the showdown with West Virginia.

Fantasy Spin:

Sources are reportedly saying that he does NOT have a high ankle sprain, which is good news.  Whether or not he actually plays Saturday will probably not be known until closer to kickoff.  Deante' Gray should see more targets if Doctson is not his normal self.

Texas A&M starting QB will be named Thursday

Texas A&M has opened their quarterback competition between Kenny Hill and freshman Kyle Allen, and a starter is expected to be named by Thursday.

Fantasy Spin:

A&M has struggled mightily over the past couple games, but this seems like a bit of a panic move.  Kyle Allen was one of the top QB recruits in the naion a year ago, and many expected him to unseat Hill in the preseason.  Maybe now he'll get his chance.

Whoever gets the nod on Saturday has a favorable matchup vs. UL-Monroe.

Injured Thomas Rawls 'did some things' in practice

Central Michigan RB Thomas Rawls injured his knee last week and his status is up in the air moving forward.  His head coach Dan Enos said Rawls 'did some things' in practice.

Fantasy Spin:

Thanks for the tremendous detail, coach!

The good news here is that whatever knee injury Rawls is dealing with, it doesn't appear to be a season-ender.  Will Rawls suit up this week?  It doesn't sound like Enos will be willing to let us in on that knowledge until closer to kickoff.  If Rawls is out, look for Saylor Lavallii to step in.

NCAA hands Todd Gurley 4-game suspension

Per the Atlanta Journal Constitution:

Suspended Georgia running back Todd Gurley must sit out two additional games, according to a ruling issued by the NCAA.

The onetime Heisman hopeful must sit a total of four games, or 30 percent of the season, for accepting more than $3,000 in cash from multiple individuals for autographed memorabilia and other items over two years.

Gurley, who acknowledged violating NCAA rules, must repay a portion of the money received to a charity of his choice and complete 40 hours of community service as additional conditions for his reinstatement.

Georgia sat Gurley for two games after it learned of the autograph allegations.

Gurley will first be eligible to play on Nov. 15.

The university said in a statement that it received the decision Tuesday afternoon from the NCAA Student-Athlete Reinstatement staff regarding the university’s request for the reinstatement of Gurley. The university says it plans to appeal the decision immediately.

Fantasy Spin:

If this suspension holds, Gurley will return vs. Auburn on November 15th.  Georgia faces Charleston Southern on Nov. 22 and Georgia Tech on Nov. 29.

He would miss this week's clash with Florida, and next week's game vs. Kentucky.

D Cook (FSU)
K Williams (FSU)
M Pender (FSU)

Mario Pender unlikely to play Thursday

Florida State RB Mario Pender did not practice earlier this week and is unlikely to play vs. Louisville on Thursday due to an ankle injury.

Fantasy Spin:

Look for Karlos Williams to be backed up by Dalvin Cook on Thursday night.

09:25 AM
S Perine (OKLA)
K Ford (OKLA)

Oklahoma RB Keith Ford returns to practice

Oklahoma RB Keith Ford has returned to practice this week, and is expected to play vs. Iowa State on Saturday.

Fantasy Spin:

This appears to be bad news for Samaje Perine owners.  Watch closely on Saturday to see how the carries are split.

09:11 AM
Z Greenlee (FRES)
B Burrell (FRES)

Fresno State making a change at QB

Fresno State is expected to start redshirt freshman Zack Greenlee at QB this week vs. Wyoming, with Brian Burrell getting the hook.

Fantasy Spin:

Tough to get a read on Greenlee as he's only thrown 7 passes this season.  This appears to be a situation where the coaches are looking towards the future, at the expense of this season (Fresno State is 3-5 on the year).

09:08 AM
S Wick (WYOM)
B Hill (WYOM)

Shaun Wick out 4 weeks with broken hand

Wyoming RB Shaun Wick is expected to miss the next four weeks with a broken hand.

Fantasy Spin:

Brian Hill filled in admirably for Wick on Saturday after the injury.  He is worth a look on waiver wires in deeper leagues.

River Cracraft misses 2nd half after hard hit

Washington State WR River Cracraft missed the second half of Saturday's game after a hard hit that could have led to a concussion.

Fantasy Spin:

No word yet on the status of Cracraft for Saturday's tilt with USC.

Karlos Williams under investigation for alleged domestic abuse

Florida State RB Karlos Williams is being investigated for an alleged domestic abuse case.  Per the Orlando Sentinel, Williams' pregnant girlfriend posted photos and twitter message that she was a victim of domestic battery, but did not specify Williams as the guilty party.

Fantasy Spin:

Another high profile case in Tallahassee.  Let's see how this one plays out.  Dalvin Cook and perhaps Mario Pender become fantasy relevant if Williams were to miss any time from this alleged crime.

02:23 PM
C Harrison (UTST)

Utah State loses another QB to injury

Utah State QB Craig Harrison left Saturday's game with a knee injury and did not return.  Freshman Kent Myers finished off the game.

This marks the third injury to an Aggie QB this year.  The Aggies lost their star QB Chuckie Keeton earlier this year to a knee injury, as well as backup Darrell Garretson to a wrist injury.

Fantasy Spin:

Myers rushed 3 times for 28 yards, and went 3-for-5 for 45 yards passing.  If Harrison is out, Myers is an intriguing deep league option as the upcoming slate is tasty: Hawaii, Wyoming, New Mexico, San Jose State.

02:09 PM
T Rawls (CMIC)
S Lavallii (CMIC)

Saylor Lavallii steps in for injured Thomas Rawls

Central Michigan RB Thomas Rawls left Saturday's game with a knee injury after rushing for just 4 yards.  Saylor Lavallii stepped in and put up a 21-80-2 statline in relief duty.

Fantasy Spin:

No word yet on how long Rawls will be out, but Saylor Lavallii has a decent fantasy track record and becomes a waiver wire target.

01:54 PM
J Barrett (OHST)

J.T. Barrett expected to play vs. Illinois despite MCL sprain

Ohio State QB J.T. Barrett is expected to suit up against Illinois on Saturday despite a sprained MCL.

Fantasy Spin:

Barrett was clearly in discomfort Saturday night during the win over Penn State, but he was able to play through the pain and still be effective.
