WEEKLY GEEK RANKINGS - TE, DEF & PK

Not much to say about tight ends, defenses and kickers.  They’re the necessary evil of college fantasy football.  However, in the fantasy playoffs they could be the difference in winning and losing.

There are a handful of good tight ends like Rice’s James Casey (picture, Icon SMI) that you plug into your lineup every week.  Defenses - just play the one with the best matchup.  Kickers, well, don’t get me started on kickers…

James Starks
WEEKLY GEEK RB RANKINGS
From a fantasy perspective, there’s nothing better than a crazy MAC shootout on a weeknight in late November.  We had one of those last week when Buffalo and Akron went into four overtimes with the Bulls prevailing 43-40.  James Starks (photo, Icon SMI) played like a man possessed, carrying the ball 37 times for 151 yards and 3 TD’s and catching 13 balls for another 90 yards.  50 touches people!  50 touches!  We had Starks ranked as our #3 RB last week, where does he fall in this week’s rankings?

David Johnson
WEEKLY GEEK QB RANKINGS
Still alive for your college fantasy football crown?  For those of you that survived the first round of the playoffs without Sam Bradford, Graham Harrell or Chase Clement - congratulations.  Now your studs are back in the fold and all have outstanding matchups.  The big question this week surrounds Tim Tebow. His game against The Citadel game is a tough one to measure.  Will Tebow play more than one half of football?  If not, can he put up 25-30 fantasy points in one half?  It’s a tough call.  One guy that is not tough to figure out is Tulsa’s David Johnson (photo, Icon SMI).  He should light it up against Tulane on Saturday.

See where Tebow and Johnson are ranked after the jump...

WEEKLY GEEK PROGNOSTICATIONS
Week 12 was another strong one for the Geek.  We nailed our Pocket Protector Pick and went 4-1 against the spread.  We reviewed this week’s games and have to admit the lines are pretty tough.  We think we found a winning six-pack.

Last Week:
Straight Up:  5-0
Against the Spread:  4-1
Pocket Protector Pick:  Correct.  Notre Dame survived a late Navy rally.

Season Stats:
Straight Up:  83-29 (74%)
Against the Spread:  59-52-1 (53%)
Pocket Protector Picks:  9-3 (75%)
