Week 9 Waiver Wire Report - First Look

Here is our first look at the Week 9 waiver wire report.

QUARTERBACKS

THE HOT NAMES

Ryan Lindley - San Diego State
The Aztec QB shredded Colorado State for 469 yards and 6 TDs.  And this was without his best receiver, Vincent Brown, who missed most of the game due to an injury.  Lindley looks to be a nice play in Week 9 and 11, but beware TCU in Week 10.

Seth Doege - Texas Tech
The Red Raider QB merry-go-round continues.  Doege will be snapped up in most leagues after Taylor Potts was yanked in Saturday’s game.  Whether he will start next week or not is a mystery at this point.  Texas Tech gets Kansas next before a bye week.

WEEK 8 MATCH PLAYS

Kyle Parker - Clemson
Clemson gets Coastal Carolina in what should be a Halloween massacre.  He’s worth a shot in BCS leagues.

Daryll Clark - Penn State
Clark destroyed Michigan on Saturday and should produce against a suspect Northwestern defense next week.

RUNNING BACKS

MAC SPECIALS

Ike Nduka - Buffalo
Nduka overcame injury to run all over Western Michigan for 192 total yards and 3 scores.  He has a bye this week, then should be good to go the rest of the way.

Jacquise Terry - Kent State
Terry was the focal point of the offense on Saturday, touching the ball 35 times for 178 yards.

CRAPSHOOT

The Texas A&M Running Backs
Christine Michael and Cyrus Gray enjoyed tremendous success against Texas Tech on Saturday.  Can they keep it up against Iowa State and Colorado?  Maybe, maybe not.  The Aggie running game has been inconsistent all year, and the RBBC mix is tough to figure out.

USUAL SUSPECT

DuJuan Harris - Troy
Harris continued to show signs of life with a 66 yard, 2 touchdown performance.  Favorable match ups against ULM and WKU are up next.

WIDE RECEIVERS

HOT NAME

DeMarco Sampson - San Diego State
With Vincent Brown injured, Sampson exploded for 15 catches, 257 yards and 3 scores.  If Brown continues to miss time, Sampson becomes a prime pick up.

SOLID CONSIDERATIONS

Chris Bonner - Florida Atlantic
Bonner has produced 22 and 26 fantasy points over the past two weeks, and his next couple opponents provide favorable matchups.

Jonathan Baldwin - Pittsburgh
Baldwin has scored a TD in 4 of his last 5 games.  After a Week 9 bye week, he has great match ups against Notre Dame and Syracuse.

USUAL SUSPECT

Max Komar - Idaho
Posted 10-136-3 on Saturday.  He has been a little boom or bust of late, but if you catch him on the right week you’re sitting pretty.

WEEK 9 MATCH PLAY

Rich Gunnell - Boston College
Gunnell ripped through an awful Notre Dame defense on Saturday, and should be able to keep it rolling against an overmatched Central Michigan squad.

REMEMBER ME?

Aldrick Robinson - SMU
A-Rob was a huge bust the first month of the season, and was dropped in most leagues.  He hasn’t caught a bunch of balls recently, but he has scored in 3 consecutive games.  Keep an eye on the injury status of QB Bo Levi Mitchell.

TIGHT ENDS

USUAL SUSPECTS

Derek Morris - La Tech
Morris only caught one ball last week, but it was for a TD.  He has a great match up in Week 9 against Idaho before having to face Week 8 Waiver Wire Report - First LookLSU and Boise State.

Virgil Green (Nevada)
Green has scored a TD in four straight games.  As we said last week, he doesn’t catch a lot of balls, but he makes them count.

DEFENSES

Some interesting Week 8 defensive match ups:
Clemson vs. Coastal Carolina
Arkansas vs. Eastern Michigan
