Another week of college fantasy football action is in the books. What did we learn from each of the 48 games on the slate?

FRIDAY

West Virginia at Syracuse
What to Watch:  Can WVU RB Dustin Garrison establish himself as a go-to fantasy option as we prepare for the playoff push?

What we Learned: Not in this one.  WVU fell behind big and scrapped the running game for the most part.  Garrison was still the clear No. 1 option, but he didn't see a big workload.

Rutgers at Louisville
What to Watch:  Can Mohammed Sanu form chemistry with new starting QB Gary "Super" Nova?

What we Learned: Yep. Nova hooked up with San 10 times for 128 yards and a TD.

SATURDAY

Oklahoma State at Missouri
What to Watch:  Joseph Randle, where the hell are you?  Can fellow Poke RB Jeremy Smith string together another nice game?

What we Learned: Randle heard our call loud and clear.  15 touches for 151 yards and 4 TDs.

North Carolina at Clemson
What to Watch:  Does Gio Bernard's hip injury affect his ability to carry the load?

What we Learned: It did.  Bernard didn't start the game and only carried the rock 11 times for 44 yards.

Kansas State at Kansas
What to Watch:  Don't let us down, Collin "Calvin" Klein.  Many fantasy owners are counting on you this week in his sexy match up.

What we Learned: Calvin came through like a champ.  Depending on your scoring system, he was either the 1st or 2nd highest scoring fantasy QB in the nation this week.

Illinois at Purdue
What to Watch:  Will the Scheelhaase-Jenkins connection shred the Boilers?

What we Learned: Not even close.  Illinois appears to be falling apart at the seams after a shocking loss to Purdue.  Scheel was benched for part of this game, and for good reason.  He looked really pitiful at times.

Cincinnati at USF
What to Watch:  Zach Collaros has been largely disappointing this season.  Can he make owners happy in a relatively tough match up?

What we Learned: Collaros accounted for over 400 yards of offense and 5 total TDs.  Happy owners all around.

Jacksonville State at Kentucky
What to Watch:  Remember folks, Jax State upset Ole Miss last year.  Now they venture into SEC territory again.  Can lightning strike twice?

What we Learned: Kentucky did what they were supposed to do.  T.C.O.B.

Northern Illinois at Buffalo
What to Watch:  On paper, this is a good match up for Branden Oliver.  Can the Bulls keep it close so they don't have to abandon he running game?

What we Learned: Oliver accounted for 35 touches and 194 total yards from scrimmage, but he didn't reach the endzone.

Indiana at Iowa
What to Watch:  If there was ever a game where Marcus Coker should dominate, this is it.

What we Learned: Coker did his job posting a nice 23-139-2 statline.

Arkansas a Ole Miss
What to Watch:  How sharp do Tyler Wilson and company look after a bye?

What we Learned: Not very.  He only passed for 232 yards and no TDs through the air.  He did score on two cheap rushing TDs to save fantasy owners from a complete disaster.

Wake Forest at Duke
What to Watch:  Keep an eye on the wide receiver battle between Chris Givens and Conner Vernon.  Who ya got?

What we Learned: Givens was the clear winner on this day with a 6-147-2 effort.  Conner put up a 7-59-0 statline.

Western Michigan at Eastern Michigan
What to Watch:  Tasty match up for Alex Carder and Jordan White.  We've set the over-under on White's receptions at 10.

What we Learned: In what was one of the most shocking games of the weekend, WMU only mustered up 10 measly points in this one.  Jordan White put up a pedestrian 7 catches for 70 yards.  UNDER.

Central Michigan at Ball State
What to Watch:  Cody Wilson actually had himself a decent game last week.  Can he do it again?

What we Learned: Yes sir.  Wilson put up an 8-99-1 on the day.  That's two games in a row.  Is he back for good?

New Mexico at TCU
What to Watch:  This is a good game for the Horned Frogs to get things rolling offensively.

What we Learned: 69-0.  Yep, it's safe to say the offense was clicking.

Boston College at Virginia Tech
What to Watch:  Fantasy owners are beginning to believe in Logan Thomas.  This match up appears to be a good one.  Can he keep it rolling?

What we Learned: Thomas passed for 268 and a score, and rushed for another 60 and a TD.  Solid production.

Idaho State at BYU
What to Watch:  Mismatch!  The BYU defense was a hot waiver wire pick up this week.  And for good reason, the Idaho State Bengals and their 2-5 record roll into town.

What we Learned: BYU tallied up 25 fantasy points for me in one expert league.  Thank you, Mormons.

La Tech at Utah State
What to Watch:  All eyes will be on Lennon Creer.  Some injury reports list him as being doubtful to play, others have him being upgraded to a status of "probable".  We won't have an answer to this mystery until game time.

What we Learned: Creer played but was limited to 79 total yards and 1 TD.

Auburn at LSU
What to Watch:  How will he carries be divvied up without Spencer Ware in the mix?  Will Michael Ford play the role of feature back, or will Alfred Blue eat into his carries?

What we Learned: Ford saw the most carries (12-82-0), but it was Kenny Hilliard who racked up the fantasy points on 10-65-2.

Air Force at Boise State
What to Watch:  Will the Broncos decide to crush the Falcons via the air?  Or the ground?  Doug Martin and Kellen Moore owners sure would like to know.

What we Learned: Both.  Martin and Moore owners came away happy in this one.

Nebraska at Minnesota
What to Watch:  This is one of the best Big Ten match ups remaining for T-Magic and Burkhead.  Make the most of it.

What we Learned: Burkhead cracked both the century mark and the endzone. T-Magic has a below average fantasy effort.

Texas A&M at Iowa State
What to Watch:  Has Christine Michael assumed the RB1-A role, with Cyrus Gray falling into the RB1-B slot?  Or will the two continue to alternate every couple of games?

What we Learned: The battle rages on.  Michael went 18-142-1 on the ground, while Gray posted a 21-125-0.

Georgia Tech at Miami (FL)
What to Watch:  Lamar Miller had a stinker performance last week.  Can he bounce back?

What we Learned: He didn't blow up, but Miller put in a solid day's work with 27 rushes for 93 yards and a score.

Maryland at Florida State
What to Watch:  C.J. Brown was off the hook at home against Clemson last Saturday.  Facing the Noles defense in Tallahassee will be a much stiffer challenge.

What we Learned: Brown suffered a violent helmet-to-helmet collision early in the second half and didn't return.

Temple at Bowling Green
What to Watch:  Can Bernard Pierce keep up his torrid pace?

What we Learned: Pierce was held in check (by his standards) with a 17-107-1 line.

NC State at Virginia
What to Watch:  A semi-interesting match up between two under-rated ACC running backs in James Washington and Perry Jones.  Sneaky plays galore!

What we Learned: Washington and Jones were relatively quiet in this one.

Ohio at Akron
What to Watch:  Is Akron RB Jawon Chisholm back to 100 percent?  He didn't start last week's game due to a late breaking injury.

What we Learned: He received 21 carries but was only able to tally up 48 yards.  Not good enough.

East Carolina at Navy
What to Watch:  Come on, Pirates!  Get your act together.  The college fantasy football community needs your prolificness to reappear down the stretch.

What we Learned: Dom Davis passed for 372 yards and a pair of scores.  RB Reggie Bullock rushed for 104 yards and 3 TDs.

Memphis at Tulane
What to Watch:  Awesome match up for the inconsistent Orleans Darkwa.  Start 'em if you got him.

What we Learned: Darkwa didn't disappoint with 196 total yards and a TD.

Oregon at Colorado
What to Watch:  Who will line up under center for the Ducks?  My Spidey Sense is thinking we'll see a healthy does of Bryan Bennett.

What we Learned: My Spidey Sense was spot on.

La-Lafayette at Western Kentucky
What to Watch:  Blaine Gautier has had four excellent outings in his last five games.  Can he make it five of six?

What we Learned: 412 passing yards and 2 TDs for Gautier.  Not too shabby.

Fresno State at Nevada
What to Watch:  Will the real Nevada RB please stand up?  Who will get the rock between Lampford Mark, Stepfon Jefferson and Mike Ball?

What we Learned: We're back to Mike Ball, who rushed the ball 26 times for 198 yards and a score.  Mark didn't register a carry, and Jefferson only touched the ball once.

Marshall at Houston
What to Watch:  Mr. Keenum is overdue for one of those 500 yard performances.

What we Learned: It wasn't 500 yards, but it was 376 and 6 TD passes.  We'll take it.

La-Monroe at North Texas
What to Watch:  Lance Dunbar has had an up-and-down season so far.  Will the arrow point "up" this week?

What we Learned:  Up. 189 total yards and a TD for Mr. Dunbar.

Penn State at Northwestern
What to Watch:  The Nittany Lion coaching staff has hinted that they'd like to lessen Silas Redd's workload.  Not great news for fantasy owners.

What we Learned: The coaching staff stayed true to their word.  Redd had 10 less carries than in each of his last two games.  But he still produced in a big way.

Utah at Cal
What to Watch:  Keenan Allen has been on a tear of late.  Can Utah slow him down at all?

What we Learned: The Utes slowed him down a bit, but he still caught 8 balls for 78 yards and a score.

Army at Vanderbilt
What to Watch:  It's time we give Trent Steelman his due.  The guy has put up four monster numbers this season (36, 29, 24 and 31 fantasy points).

What we Learned: Steelman went out with an injury before he could get going in this one.

Tulsa at Rice
What to Watch:  We're still waiting for one Tulsa wide receiver to become a consistent fantasy force.  Who will step up?

What we Learned: Willie Carter was The Man in this one, hauling in 9 passed for 160 yards and 1 TD.

Miami (OH) at Toledo
What to Watch:  Nick Harwell vs. Eric Page.  These two could combine for 20 catches in this one.

What we Learned: The duo only combined for 11 receptions.  Boo, hiss.

Tennessee at Alabama
What to Watch:  Roll Trent Roll!  After last week's Heisman-ific performance, what will Mr. Richardson do for an encore?

What we Learned: Nothing too crazy.  Richardson chipped in with 110 total yards and 2 TDs.

USC at Notre Dame
What to Watch:  Robert Woods was silenced by Cal's double teams a week ago.  Can the Irish do the same?

What we Learned: Woods roared back onto the fantasy scene with a dozen catches for 119 yards and 2 TDs.

Texas Tech at Oklahoma
What to Watch:  The Red Raiders only passed for 141 yards last year at home to the Sooners.  Now they face a better OU squad in Norman.  Ouch.

What we Learned: Whoa Nellie!  We didn't see this one coming at all.  441 passing yards and 4 scores for Seth Doege.

Wisconsin at Michigan State
What to Watch:  Could THIS be the game where Russell Wilson and Montee Ball come back to earth?

What we Learned: Both Wilson and Ball produced admirably despite the loss.

Washington at Stanford
What to Watch:  We ranked Andrew Luck No. 1 on our board this week.  Will he make us look smart?

What we Learned: He didn't.  Luck only accounted for 169 passing yards and 2 TDs.  Stanford relied on the running game, which racked up 5 rushing scores on the night.

Middle Tennessee at Florida Atlantic
What to Watch:  Alfred Morris let owners down last week with a woeful fantasy performance.  Now that the college fantasy world has cooled on him, watch him go off.

What we Learned: He went off in the yardage category but didn't reach pay dirt (18-153-0).

SMU at Southern Miss
What to Watch:  Love this game.  Eager to see if Cole Beasley continues to hog the spotlight away from Darius Johnson in the passing game.

What we Learned: Darius Johnson was injured early in the contest, so Beasley was the no-brainer top target for QB J.J. McDermott the rest of the way.

Colorado State at UTEP
What to Watch:  Joseph Banyard has had two fantasy relevant weeks in a row.  Owners are starting to plug him into their lineups.  Be careful as The Barnyard has disappointed big-time in the past.

What we Learned: ...and he disappointed again with a 6 carry, 34 yard effort.

Oregon State at Washington State
What to Watch:  This is a great match up for Jeff Tuel to knock off the rust and show us why we made him a sleeper during the preseason.

What we Learned: Tuel left this game early with a shoulder injury.
