Each week there are players who live up to their lofty player ranking and put up a big number. And then there are those fantasy prospects who vastly under-perform.  CFG's Mike Bainbridge presents you with this week's Champs and Chumps.

CHAMPS

Quarterbacks:
1.     Tajh Boyd, Clemson- Boyd had a huge game on Saturday. 6 total TDs, 5 of which came through the air in the route over North Carolina. And it wasn’t even the best performance of the weekend.
2.     Seth Doege, Texas Tech- After struggling the week prior, Doege put things together against a strong Oklahoma defense. He finished with 4 TD passes and 441 yards through the air.
3.     Case Keenum, Houston- This is why he was the No. 1 pick in most fantasy drafts; 376 yards and 6 TDs.

Running Backs:
1.     Jerome Randle, Oklahoma State- Randle made the most of his 14 carries, rushing for 138 yards and 3 TDs.
2.     Marcus Coker, Iowa- Just a solid overall day for the sophomore running back; 138 rushing yards and 2 TDs.
3.     Reggie Bullock, East Carolina- Bullock is a hit-or-miss play at this point. Saturday was a hit; 102 rushing and 3 TDs in the offensive onslaught by the Pirates.

Wide Receivers:
1.     Juron Criner, Arizona- The passing game got on track for the Wildcats on Thursday. Criner was the biggest beneficiary as he topped 100 yards receiving with 3 TDs.
2.     Marvin McNutt, Iowa- It was a record-setting day for the senior receiver, catching 3 TDs to make him the all-time leader in Iowa history. He also had 184 receiving yards on just 6 catches.
3.     Chris Givens, Wake Forest- The Wake Forest passing game has been one of the biggest surprises of the season. Givens is the top target, and put up 147 yards and 2 TDs.

Tight Ends:
1.     Nick Provo, Syracuse- Provo hadn’t reached the end zone in the past couple weeks before putting up 3 against West Virginia on Thursday. That was more than he had all season.
2.     David Blackburn, Central Michigan- The senior TE had a career day as he put up close to 200 yards receiving, including 2 for TDs; 19 and 60 yards, respectively.
3.     Dwayne Allen, Clemson- Allen might just be the best TE in the nation right now, and is the safest option for Boyd to pass to. He added 59 yards and a touchdown in the win.

CHUMPS

Quarterbacks:
1.     Tyler Wilson, Arkansas- Wilson had multiple touchdown passes in every game but one this season so far. Although putting up a solid 232 yards through the air, he had zero TD passes. More is expected with the receiving corps he has.
2.     Alex Carder, Western Michigan- Just a bad day overall for one of the better passing attacks in the nation. Carder seems to be regressing as of late.
3.     Tommy Rees, Notre Dame- A surprisingly tough day for the potent ND offense. Rees had a TD pass in every game until Saturday’s loss to USC.

Running Backs:
1.     Johnathan Franklin, UCLA- Despite playing one of the worst defenses in the entire nation, Franklin managed to only run for 11 yards. He did add a receiving touchdown, but more is expected.
2.     Andre Ellington, Clemson- The Tar Heels clearly tried to stop the run against Clemson. Ellington was held to 5 yards on seven carries.
3.     Cierre Wood, Notre Dame- By far the worst game of the year for Wood as the Irish could not get anything going on the ground. He tallied less than 50 yards of offense with zero scores.

Wide Receivers:
1.     Travis Benjamin, Miami- Following a breakout week, Benjamin did not even reach double figures in receiving yardage. Never know what you are going to get when your QB is Jacory Harris.
2.     Russell Shepard, LSU- The LSU wideouts combined for a single catch on Saturday, and it went for negative yards.
3.     Dwayne Frampton, Arkansas State- The team’s leading receiver was held to a single catch for just 7 yards in the loss to FIU.

Tight Ends:
1.     Evan Rodriguez, Temple- Another bad day for the Temple passing attack. Rodriguez is a great receiving TE, but it’s hard to produce when you don’t have a capable QB.
