Are you one of those super-geeks in a deep, All-FBS player pool format that's looking to hit a home run on the free agent market? Well, the waiver wire isn't a friendly place these days. Be careful, for there's lots of potential fool's gold in them there hills! Still, as we near the mid-way point of the college fantasy football season, taking a risk here or there isn't a terrible thing to do.
Here's a list of potential Non-BCS waiver wire additions. For our BCS list,

SOLID OPTIONS
If these guys are still available in your league, and you need help at their position, add them now.
QB Matt Christian, New Mexico State
He's a pretty good player on a notoriously bad squad, and with that comes some risk. But Christian is worth a risk in deeper leagues if you need QB help in Week 7 and 8. In relief of the injured Andrew Manley, this dual threat has posted 24 and 44 fantasy points over the past two weeks. He has a bye week coming up before facing Idaho and Hawaii.
RB Jawon Chisholm, Akron
Chisholm has been on our list before, but he's worth mentioning again. In his last three outings, he's posted 25-133-0, 27-188-1 and 25-122-1 statlines. His next three weeks are relatively tough (FIU, bye, Ohio), then the schedule opens up nicely for the stretch run.
WR Jalen Saunders, Fresno State
Saunders is one of those guys that lives and dies by the big play. Lately, it's safe to say he's been LIVIN' as he's posted 29, 28 and 27 fantasy points in his last three outings. He has a tough match up with Boise State coming up, but after that it's clear sailing.
TE Ryan Otten, San Jose State
If you've been reading CFG for a while, you know we have a man crush on Mr. Otten. We like it when he does well. And he's doing well at the moment (6-98-2 and 6-112-1 the last two weeks). We've touted him in this space previously, but if he's still out there on your wire, grab him.
TAKE A CHANCE
If you have the roster room, these prospects are worth a look.
QB Nick Isham, La Tech
He's logged 29 completions in each of the last two games. The difference: in the first game he only tallied 11 fantasy points while in the second he totaled 28. He's erratic, but if you're in desperation mode Isham is worth a look based upon his next three match ups of Idaho, bye, Utah State and San Jose State.
QB Riley Nelson, BYU
This one comes with a giant disclaimer as Nelson has yet to be named BYU's starter this week. But if he is ultimately named the Cougar's No. 1 QB, he's worth consideration. Nelson's heroics last Friday night against Utah State were the stuff of legend. Next up is San Jose State and Oregon State, two teams not exactly known for their passing defense.
RB Brandon Rutley, San Jose State
Here's another guy we mentioned in previous articles. Note: If you pick up Rutley early in the week, you might be getting damaged goods as he hurt his ankle last week and we don't know the severity of the injury just yet. When healthy, the guy is proving to be quite a fantasy option. He's score 17, 17, 35 and 27 fantasy points over the past four games.
RB Morgan Williams, Toledo
Here's another blast from the past. At one time, Williams was thought to be the future of the Rockets' running game. Then, he fizzled off to oblivion. Now, with Adonis Thomas lost for the next 4-6 weeks, he's getting one final chance to show his stuff. He posted a respectable 20-121-1 line against Temple last week. Easier dates on the MAC slate await, but he will battle David Fluellen for carries. Can veteran owners who have been down the Williams path before put the past aside and give him another try?
WR Chleb Ravenell, Western Michigan
We mentioned Ravenell in the preseason as a player to watch in the WMU offense, and there are always enough balls to go around to make the WR2 fantasy worthy. Ravenell was slowed by injury early in the year, but he has rebounded nicely scoring a TD in each of his last three games, including a solid 9-123-2 statline against UConn last week.
ONE HIT WONDERS?
RB Paris Cotton, Central Michigan
This guy was pretty much a one-week wonder in 2010 after putting up a big day, becoming a hot waiver wire add, then falling back to earth for the remainder of the season. Are we falling into the same trap this year? Maybe. He touched the ball 20 times for 225 total yards and 3 TDs against NIU on Saturday (42 fantasy points). Prior to that, his best performance on the season was a 5.8 point output. Take Cotton only if you're a gambler.
RB Charles Sims, Houston
We've always thought Sims was the most talented back in the Houston arsenal, but he's always seemed to have been plagued by off-the-field concerns. Well, he made it onto the field last week and put up a huge number. He only touched the ball 14 times, but he turned them into 201 total yards and 3 touchdowns. He's worth stashing away in the event that he continues to get a decent workload. Just be aware that in the previous four games, he totaled 6, 0, 9 and 9 touches and only scored one TD. And Bryce Beall and Michael Hayes aren't going anywhere.
RB Joe Banyard, UTEP
More affectionately known as "the Barnyard", this Miner RB ripped it up against Houston last week for 240 rushing yards and a score. Is he a flash in the pan? Probably. He performed a similar fantasy trick last year, only to disappoint for most of the season. UTEP is on a bye this week, then faces Tulane and Southern Miss.
RB Dominique White, Eastern Michigan
White entered the season as the team's RB3, but with Dominique Sherrer injured and and Javonti Greene ineffective, he received a major increase in workload on Saturday. He carried the ball 28 times for 164 yards and 3 touchdowns against Akron. Now, who knows if he'll remain the feature back or whether this was a one-hit wonder. But in deep leagues with large rosters, White is someone to grab and see if he pans out. The MAC schedule awaits and it is usually pretty juicy.
