Each week there are players who live up to their lofty player ranking and put up a big number. And then there are those fantasy prospects who vastly under-perform.  Here they are folks, the weekend’s Champs and Chumps.

CHAMPS

Quarterback
1.  Denard Robinson, Michigan– Just another day at the office for Shoelace.  117 rushing yards, 337 passing yards, and 4 total touchdowns.
2.  Logan Thomas, Virginia Tech – Finally played up to expectations after a ho-hum first month of performances.  He rushed for 28 yards and 2 TDs, and passed for 310 and 3 scores against Miami.
3.  Austin Davis, Southern Miss – Vintage performance from Mr. Davis.  75 rushing yards, 1 rushing TD.  283 passing yards, 3 passing TDs.

Running Backs
1.  Branden Oliver, Buffalo – Oliver continues to be a workhorse for the Bulls.  He toted the rock 34 times for 179 yards and 3 TDs against Ohio on Saturday.
2.  Terrance Ganaway, Baylor – After a quiet string of games, Ganaway woke up in a big way, rumbling for 200 yards and 3 scores against Iowa State.
3.  Bobby Rainey, Western Kentucky – Rainey racked up 203 total yards from scrimmage, and found paydirt twice in a double-overtime win over Middle Tennessee State.

Wide Receivers
1.  Nick Harwell, Miami (OH) - Harwell was huge against Army, hauling in 10 passes for 186 yards and 2 touchdowns.
2.  Jordan White, Western Michigan – White caught another dozen balls for 156 yards and a pair of scores.
3.  Rishard Matthews, Nevada – Lived up to his lofty CFG ranking this week by torching UNLV for 10-220-1.

Tight Ends
1.  Tim Biere, Kansas – Biere was the one shining light on a dark day for the Jayhawks, catching 7 balls for 91 yards and a score.
2.  Joe Halahuni, Oregon State – Halahuni was a top fantasy option in recent years, but has been out of the limelight for a while due to injury.  He made his way back onto the fantasy map on Saturday, catching 5 balls for 29 yards and two touchdowns.
3.  Ryan Otten, San Jose State – Otten is on fire right now.  His last three statlines are 6-98-2, 6-112-1 and 9-108-0.

CHUMPS

Quarterback
1.  Dominique Davis, East Carolina – Given the juicy match up, Davis turned in one of the worst performances in recent fantasy history. 169 passing yards, 0 TDs, 3 INTs, and -23 rushing yards against Houston?  Are you kidding me?
2.  Ryan Aplin, Arkansas State – Aplin only accounted for 12 fantasy points in what appeared to be a nice match up against UL-Monroe.  He only accounted for 1 TD, with 3 interceptions.
3.  Jeffrey Godfrey, UCF - Against a bad Marshall defense, Godfrey put up a measly 147 passing yards and one touchdown.  Did he make up for it on the ground?  Nope.  His running stats were pitiful by his standards (5-15-0).

Running Backs
1.  Marcus Lattimore, South Carolina – Sorry Latts, but when you're averaging 30 fantasy points per game and you put up a 13 spot against the likes of Kentucky, you earn a temporary spot on our Chumps list.
2.  Joseph Randle, Oklahoma State – The Pokes got up on Kansas so big, so quick, that Randle didn't see much work in this one.  He only touched the ball 8 times for 32 yards.  At least he found the endzone to avoid a total disaster.
3.  Ronnie Hillman, San Diego State – TCU's defense finally manned up this year, much to the chagrin of Hillman owners everywhere.  He only accounted for 70 total yards and did not score.

Wide Receivers
1.  Lance Lewis, East Carolina – Like his quarterback above, Lewis didn't show up against Houston.  5-73-0 isn't going to cut it.
2.  Quinton Patton, La Tech - Another case of a hot WR coming up small in what appeared to be a tasty match up.  He did catch 9 balls, which is great, but they only went for 34 yards.  3.8 yards per catch?  Really?
3.  Juron Criner, Arizona – Yeah, it's rough that we're putting Criner on here considering he left the game with an injury.  Still, he's been a disappointment all season - really, it's been a rollercoaster ride since his personal issues this summer.  He ranks No. 76 in fantasy points per game among WRs.

Tight Ends
1. Orson Charles, Georgia– 1 catch for 10 yards against a not-so-great Tennessee defense is not getting it done, Orson.
