Here's hoping your Week 5 went better than this Northwestern o-lineman's did.
Each Friday, we bust out a Rapid Fire Weekend Preview article.  The goal of the piece is to outline things to look for during the weekend's action.  So it's only natural that we flip the phase on Monday, revisit those questions, and see if we found any answers.

Sometimes, the answers we discover are music to a fantasy owners' ears.  And sometimes, well, they're like a knee to the nutsack.

Let's dive in...

FRIDAY

Utah State at BYU
What to Watch:  Texas and Utah ran all over BYU.  Will Robert Turbin and company find similar success, or will the Cougars' defense rise up like they did against UCF last week?

What we Learned: Turbin did find success, tallying 27 fantasy points on just 11 touches.  His lack of workload, though, is a concern moving forward.

SATURDAY

Texas A&M at Arkansas
What to Watch: Jeff Fuller has been quiet this season.  Cyrus Gray was a non-factor last week against Oklahoma State.  Can both rebound in what could be a shootout with the Razorbacks?

What we Learned: Fuller caught 9 balls for 82 yards, but failed to find the endzone.  Gray had a nice outing, rushing for 95 yards and two scores.  But it was fellow RB Christine Michael that stole the show with an insane 32-230-3 statline.

Minnesota at Michigan
What to Watch: Will Denard Robinson rush for 100 or 200 in this one?

What we Learned: Neither.  He only rushed 6 times for 51 yards and a score.  However, he compensated for it somewhat via the passing game (169 yards and 2 scores).

Northwestern at Illinois
What to Watch: All eyes will be on the return of Dapper Dan Persa.  But another thing to watch is the Illini RB situation.  It's getting crowded back there with Donovann Young, Jason Ford and Troy Pollard all sharing carries.

What we Learned: Persa was efficient, but not prolific through the air.  He only aired it out 14 times for 123 yards, but did connect on four touchdown passes.  His running game was non-existent (-3 yards).  Persa left the game late after apparently aggravating his Achilles injury.  The Illinois RB situation remains a mess, with Young still showing the most promise of the group.

Mississippi State at Georgia
What to Watch: Isaiah Crowell is starting to find his groove, but he's not getting into the redzone enough to please fantasy owners.  Can he find paydirt this week?

What we Learned: Nope.  Crowell is becoming this year's version of Montel Harris.  Great between the 20's, but not so good around the goal line.  He rushed 22 times for 104 yards with zero touchdowns.

Penn State at Indiana
What to Watch: Eastern Michigan put nine in the box against PSU last week, forcing them to throw.  Will Indiana take a similar approach?  Silas Redd owners would like to know.

What we Learned: Redd carrying the rock 29 times for 129 yards, but didn't score.  He fumbled at the goal line on one occasion.

Rutgers at Syracuse
What to Watch: Savon Huggins' two fumbles last week earned him a spot on the bench.  Will he get a second chance or did he lose his job for good?

What we Learned: He's lost the job.  Jawan Jamison carried the ball 24 times.  Huggins - 4 carries for 5 yards.

Toledo at Temple
What to Watch: Can the Temple defense slow down Eric Page?  Will Bernard Pierce keep up his torrid pace?

What we Learned: Both Page and Pierce struggled mightily in this one.

Tulane at Army
What to Watch: Orleans Darkwa rushed for a grand total of 10 yards last week against Duke.  Is it time to disregard him as a fantasy option?

What we Learned: Darkwa put up a 16-138-1 statline, which is pretty good.  But 90 yards of that (and the TD) came in the first quarter.  Then things started to get out of hand and Tulane scrapped the running game.

Texas Tech at Kansas
What to Watch: Who will fill the shoes of injured receiver Darrin Moore?  Eric Ward?  Someone else?

What we Learned: While there wasn't a clear go-to in the passing game (six Tech WRs caught 3 or 4 balls in this game), Ward did score two touchdowns.

Air Force at Navy
What to Watch: The Battle of the Triple Options.  Will these two teams combine for 600 rushing yards?

What we Learned: Close.  They combined for 557 rushing yards.

Kentucky at LSU
What to Watch: How do the carries get split between Spencer Ware & Michael Ford?

What we Learned: Ware injured his hamstring early.  Ford, Alfred Blue and Terrance McGee carried the load on the ground in this laugher.

Buffalo at Tennessee
What to Watch: Is this the week Tauren Poole gets his act together and puts up a nice number?

What we Learned: Poole rushed 17 times for 101 yards, but did not score.

Cincinnati at Miami (OH)
What to Watch: Will D.J. Woods remain MIA in the Bearcats' passing game?

What we Learned: Does ZERO receptions qualify as being MIA?  Then yes, Woods is still MIA.

Akron at Eastern Michigan
What to Watch: Two sneaky running backs go at in Javon Chisholm and Javonti Greene.

What we Learned: Chisholm carried the ball 25 times for 122 yards and a score.  Greene took a back seat to Dominique White, who put up a great 28-164-3 statline.

Kent State at Ohio
What to Watch: Don't look now but the Bobcats' offense is fantasy friendly.  Will QB Tyler Tettleton and RB Ryan Boykin continue to impress in MAC play?

What we Learned: Tettleton completed 28 of 42 passes for 276 yards and 2 scores, but the team was only able to put up 17 points.

Nevada at Boise State
What to Watch: What kind of lickin' will the Broncos put on the Pack on the blue turf?  You know Kellen Moore & Company are pissed after Nevada ruined their national title hopes last year.

What we Learned: Maybe's Moore's knee is bothering him more than he is letting on.  He only passed for 142 yards and 2 scores.  Doug Martin was solid putting up 28 fantasy points.

Auburn at South Carolina
What to Watch: If Alshon Jeffery can't score on the Tigers' woeful defense, well then he might not score all season.

What we Learned: Jeffery did score on a 50-yard jump ball from QB Stephen Garcia.  He put up 5-86-1 on the day.

Baylor at Kansas State
What to Watch: K-State defensive stats have been impressive so far.  RG3 will provide a stiff test to tell if they are for real or not.

What we Learned: KSU wasn't able to slow down Baylor, but they proved they could be a pain in the neck for Oklahoma and Oklahoma State down the road.

SMU at TCU
What to Watch: With Cole Beasley unlikely to play due to a knee injury, will Darius Johnson step up and produce?

What we Learned: Oh yes, DJ stepped up in a big way, hauling in 12 balls for 152 yards and two touchdowns.

Georgia Tech at North Carolina State
What to Watch: The Yellow Jackets have put up video game-like numbers during their non-conference slate.  Can they continue the trend against a viable ACC defense on the road?

What we Learned: Tech put up 45 points.  Orwin Smith scored 3 more touchdowns on the ground, and now has 7 scores on only 28 carries.

Bowling Green at West Virginia
What to Watch: How many fantasy points can Matt Schilz, Kamar Jorden and Eugene Cooper put up in garbage time?

What we Learned:   Not much. The Falcons got up on WVU 10-7, and then all hell broke loose.  Schilz and Jorden were held in check, and Cooper didn't register a single catch.

Arizona at USC
What to Watch: It's been a few weeks now since Juron Criner had his appendectomy.  It's time for him to get back to his dominating ways.  Zona is going to have to score a bunch of points to keep up with USC in this one.

What we Learned:  How in the world does Nick Foles pass for 425 yards, and Criner only snags 29 of them?  It's one of the great mysteries of the weekend.

Western Michigan at Connecticut
What to Watch: Can Alex Carder carve up a decent Big East defense on the road?

What we Learned: Yes he can!  Carder passed for 479 yards and 5 TDs!

Towson at Maryland
What to Watch: After getting shut down against Temple last week, Davin Meggett better play with his hair on fire in this one against an overmatched Towson squad.

What we Learned: Meh, we expected more from Meggett than an ho-hum 16-102-0 statline.

Michigan State at Ohio State
What to Watch: Is this a Braxton Miller coming out party? If not, is there anything to get excited about from a fantasy standpoint with the Bucks?

What we Learned: Nope, there is nothing to get excited about in Columbus these days.

Bethune-Cookman at Miami (FL)
What to Watch: Let's see if the Canes' defense can lay the wood on this cupcake and rack up points for fantasy owners who were willing to pick them up this week as a spot start.

What we Learned: The Canes came through nicely, racking up 2 turnovers, 7 sacks and a defensive TD.

Washington State at Colorado
What to Watch: Rodney Stewart has more receiving yardage (304) than rushing yardage (278) through four games.  And he has ZERO touchdowns.  Can he get off the schneid this week against a poor Wazzu defense?

What we Learned: Stewart had a solid game, rushing for 132 yards and 1 TD.

San Jose State at Colorado State
What to Watch: Is SJSU running back Brandon Rutley for real?  The dude has scored 17, 18 and 37 fantasy points over the past three weeks.

What we Learned: Rutley keeps chugging along.  He rushed the ball 23 times for 131 yards and 2 more touchdowns.

Arkansas State at Western Kentucky
What to Watch: Sun Belt play kicks off.  It's time for Ryan Aplin and Bobby Rainey to start paying off for owners who invested a high draft pick in them.

What we Learned: Aplin passed for 396 yards and a score, but his rushing numbers were minimal (5 yards).  Rainey racked up 154 total yards and 1 TD on the day.

Clemson at Virginia Tech
What to Watch: Auburn, Florida State and now V-Tech... Tajh Boyd and Sammy Watkins can't possibly do it for the third week in a row against quality competition, can they?

What we Learned: Clemson got it done on the field, but not from a fantasy standpoint.  It's understandable as the Hokies defense at home is a tough match up.

Ball State at Oklahoma
What to Watch: We all know the Sooners are going to put up a ton of points in this one.  But how are they going to go about doing it?  Will Whaley see enough carries for fantasy owners?  Will they use this game to iron out wrinkles in the passing game?

What we Learned: The Sooner did a little of both.  Whaley rushed for 109 yards and 2 scores, while Landry Jones passed for 425 yards and 5 TDs.

Texas at Iowa State
What to Watch: After a bye week, will Malcolm Brown continue to see a big workload?

What we Learned: Brown was very quiet in this one, rushing 15 times for 61 yards and no scores.

North Texas at Tulsa
What to Watch: What will Lance Dunbar do for an encore?  His performance against Indiana last week was one for the ages.

What we Learned: Dunbar carried the rock a whopping 40 times!  But he was only able to muster up 127 yards and 1 TD from the large workload.

Washington at Utah
What to Watch: Will John White cement himself as an every week fantasy starter?

What we Learned: He didn't.  U-Dub shut White down completely (15-34-0).

Florida Atlantic at UL-Lafayette
What to Watch: We had a Ladarius Green sighting last week. Can he make it onto the fantasy radar two weeks in a row?

What we Learned: ULL put up 37 points on Saturday night, but Green only caught 3 balls for 44 yards.

Duke at FIU
What to Watch: With TY Hilton banged up and QB Wesley Carroll likely out, will RB Kedrick Rhodes carry the offense?

What we Learned: Carroll and Hilton gutted it out on Saturday, and looked pretty healthy.  Hilton snagged 5 balls for 102 yards and a TD.  Carroll passed for 348 yards and 3 TDs.  Darriet Perry outrushed Kedrick Rhodes 102 to 61.

Hawaii at La Tech
What to Watch: Bryant Moniz woke up from his fantasy slumber last week with SEVEN touchdown passes.  The Warriors take their show on the road to Ruston.  It's a long flight from the Islands to the Bayou.  Will Hawaii be jet-lagged?

What we Learned: No sign of jet-lag here.  Moniz passed for 410 yards and 4 scores, three of them going to go-to WR Royce Pollard.

Memphis at Middle Tennessee
What to Watch: Here, we have promising under-the-radar Blue Raiders (Logan Kilgore, Ben Cunningham and Sancho McDonald) facing off against one of the worst defenses in the land.

What we Learned: Kilgore came through with a nice performance (277 passing yards and 3 TDs), but Cunningham and McDonald played second fiddle on this day, disappointing fantasy owners.

UAB at Troy
What to Watch: Troy WR Eric Thomas only has 13 catches on the season, but four of them went for scores.  Can he continue to turn fantasy heads in this one?

What we Learned: Thomas was quiet, catching 5 balls for 57 yards and 0 TDs.  The Troy offense in general sputtered most of the night, as they only put up 24 points in UAB.

Rice at Southern Miss
What to Watch: After opening the season with Texas, Purdue and Baylor, Rice gets a more manageable match up. QB Taylor McHargue has scored 21 and 24 fantasy points the last couple weeks.  Can he score in the 20's again?

What we Learned: McHargue was flat out bad in this one, and was yanked in the fourth quarter for Nick Fanuzzi.

Alabama at Florida
What to Watch: Some are benching Trent Richardson this week due to this match up in the Swamp?  Will he make those fantasy owners like foolish?  Or like geniuses?

What we Learned: Start your studs!  Richardson manned up and smacked the Gators around all night, posting a 29-181-2 statline.

Nebraska at Wisconsin
What to Watch: Taylor Martinez faces his stiffest competition yet.  Is this the game where he gets knocked around, and the injuries that plagued him in 2010 start to creep into the picture?

What we Learned: Maybe it was the similar uniform color?  Whatever the reason, T-Magic kept throwing INTs all night.  He was able to get through the game un-injured, as far as we know.

North Carolina at East Carolina
What to Watch: Interesting ACC vs. CUSA battle here.  Will Dwight Jones and Giovanni Bernard have a field day against a bad Pirates' defense?

What we Learned: Yes sir, Jones and Bernard lived up to their player ranking this week and came through for fantasy owners.  Jones caught 6 balls for 93 yards and 2 scores, while Bernard put up a 24-146-1.

New Mexico State at New Mexico
What to Watch: There's actually some fantasy juice here!  In a battle of wide receivers, New Mexico's Deon Long looks to out-do NMSU's Taveon Rogers for in-state supremacy.

What we Learned: In standard scoring formats, NMSU QB Matt Christian scored more fantasy points than ANY quarterback in the land after putting up 296 passing yards, 4 passing TDs, 101 rushing yards and another score.

Notre Dame at Purdue
What to Watch: Michael Floyd was invisible last week against Pitt's pitiful pass defense.  Can he get back on track against the Boilers in prime time?

What we Learned: Pink Floyd is back in the good graces of fantasy owners after a 12-catch, 137 yard, 1 TD performance.

Ole Miss at Fresno State
What to Watch: This is a long road trip for the struggling Rebs.  Will they play inspired ball or go through the motions?  Will Robbie Rouse be able to take advantage?

What we Learned: The Rebs did play inspired ball, putting up 38 points behind the running of Jeff Scott and Brandon Bolden.  Rouse did his thing, rushing 28 times for 123 yards and a score.

UCLA at Stanford
What to Watch: Seemingly every time the Cardinal get into the redzone, Andrew Luck looks for one of his tight ends.  Will this be the week that RB Stepfan Taylor gets some more love around the goal line?

What we Learned: Taylor did get some more love in the redzone, scoring TDs from 1 and 2 yards out.

Oregon State at Arizona State
What to Watch: Can Brock Osweiler shred a bad Beaver defense?  Can he connect with WR Aaron Pflugrad for a few long ones?  This duo has been quiet the past couple weeks.  Will bad ass Sun Devil linebacker Vontaze Burfict head butt anyone this week?

What we Learned: Burflict didn't head butt anyone as far as we know.  Osweiler had a poor performance from our standpoint.  3 INTs against this defense is unacceptable.  Aaron Pflugrad was a non-factor, catching only 3 balls for 31 yards.
