Need to bolster your college fantasy football roster?  Here are a few players for your consideration.  For our BCS list, click here.

SNATCH ‘EM UP
These guys will be hot commodities on the wire this week.

WR Eugene Cooper, Bowling Green
While Kamar Jordan looked to be the top receiver for Bowling Green in 2011, its beginning to look like Cooper is the man. Against Morgan State Cooper caught six passes for 134 yards and four touchdowns. In week one against Idaho he posted 110 yards and two scores. As long as he keeps putting up multiple touchdowns he will be a very hot name.

WR Quinton Patton, Louisiana Tech
Patton exploded on the Central Arkansas offense with eight receptions for 211 yards and two scores. Although the competition wasn’t very tough, fantasy owners are looking for a receiver to break out for the La Tech offense. Going back to the Southern Miss match-up from week one, Paton still hauled in 5 passes for 95 yards in a rain soaked game.

TAKE A CHANCE
If you have the roster room, these prospects are worth a look.

QB Andrew Manley, New Mexico State
New Mexico State is not a hotbed for fantasy talent, but in two weeks this season Manley has been silently making a case for adding him to your roster. Against Minnesota he passed 288 yards and three touchdowns. On the season he is averaging 36 pass attempts, 325 passing yards, 2.5 touchdowns, and 1.5 interceptions a game. If he can keep the interceptions to a minimum he could post some nice spot starts down the road.

RB Matthew Tucker, TCU
With running back Ed Wesley sitting out of action due to a shoulder injury, Tucker had no problem being the lead back. Tucker carried the ball for 95 yards and two scores against Air Force. As long as Wesley is out of action, Tucker can be a decent pick-up in deep leagues. Just keep your eye on the player news because once Wesley returns to the line-up, it will be time to dump Tucker.

WR Josh Jarboe, Arkansas State
Jarboe came out of nowhere in week two and lead the offense in receiving. He took seven receptions for 162 yards and two touchdowns. While Dwayne Frampton should be the primary target in the offense, it’s worth a shot in deep leagues to grab Jarobe and see if he can do it again in week four against Central Arkansas.

WR Colin Lockett, San Diego State
The San Diego State offense hasn’t been exploding through the air like it had in the past, but Lockett is beginning to emerge as the primary pass target. Week two was the second week he reached the endzone. Against Army he racked up 113 yards on five receptions and a touchdown. As long as defenses will be keying on running back Ronnie Hillman, Lockett will have room to roam in the secondary.

WR Bryan Burnham, Tulsa
It took a while for the Tulsa offense to start clicking in week two but they eventually found their groove. Burnham is becoming the top receiver target this season and in week two he caught seven passes for 94 yards and two touchdowns. Although Tulsa had a rough week one game with Oklahoma Burnham still found the endzone. Even though it’s difficult to judge if he will remain quarterback GJ Kinne’s favorite target, its more than likely that Burnham will be snatched up this week.

WAIT AND SEE
Need to see more from these guys before pulling the trigger.

QB Brian Reader, Idaho
Reader had a very nice game in week two throwing for 299 yards and four touchdowns. The problem is that Idaho played North Dakota in this one. Against Bowling Green the previous week he could only account for 177 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. Don’t over react on Reader and wait to see if he can do it again against Fresno State in wee four.

RB Raymond Carter, Colorado State
Carter had a good showing in week two, racking up 100 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Unfortunately he gained those yards against a Northern Colorado defense. In week one against New Mexico he could only muster 46 rushing yards. The competition is only going to get stiffer as the season progresses, so hold off on grabbing Carter.

WR Jerry Harris, Central Michigan
Harris put up the best stat line for Central Michigan receivers with s six receptions for 91 yards and one touchdown performance. Before you lock him into your waiver wire realize that he only caught one pass in week one. Add in the fact they were playing from behind against Kentucky and you can see that his stats might have received an artificial bump with week. Just wait and see if he gets the ball thrown his way more against Western Michigan next week.
