Each week there are players who live up to their lofty player ranking and put up a big number. And then there are those fantasy prospects who vastly under-perform.  Here they are folks, the weekend’s Champs and Chumps.

CHAMPS

Quarterback
1.  BJ Daniels, USF – Shredded SE Louisiana for 382 yards passing, 20 yards rushing, and 5 total TDs.
2.  Kellen Moore, Boise State – Passed for 455 yards and 5 TDs in the Glass Bowl against Toledo on Friday night.
3.  Seth Doege, Texas Tech – Completed an amazing 40 of 44 passes for 401 yards and 5 scores at New Mexico.

Running Backs
1.  Ronnie Hillman, San Diego State – Is Hillman the hottest fantasy RB in the country?  He ripped off 222 total yards and 4 touchdowns on Saturday - that's 46 fantasy points for those counting.
2.  Marcus Lattimore, South Carolina – Latts toted the rock 37 times for 246 yards and 3 scores against a game Navy squad on Saturday.
3.  Henry Josey, Missouri – No Kendial Lawrence and De'Vion Moore?  No problem.  Josey rushed the ball 14 times for 263 yards and 3 TDs against Western Illinois.

Wide Receivers
1.  Marquess Wilson, Washington State - Only caught 6 balls on the day, but he averaged nearly 40 yards per catch!  236 yards and 2 TDs vs. San Diego State.
2.  Sammy Watkins, Clemson – This freshman torched Auburn for 10-155-2 through the air, and tacked on an additional 7-44-0 on the ground.
3.  Darrin Moore, Texas Tech – Moore continued to be red hot in his second game of the season, catching 9 balls for 118 yards and 3 TDs.

Tight Ends
1.  DJ Grant, Texas – Any time you catch three TDs as a tight end, you're a Champ in our book.  Grant caught 6 balls for 77 yards from the new pair of Longhorn QBs.
2.  Gavin Escobar, San Diego State – Remains one of Ryan Lindley's favorite redzone targets.  Put up a 4-58-2 statline vs. Washington State.
3.  Crockett Gilmore, Colorado State – Quietly emerging as one of the top tight ends in the MWC.  He snagged 5 balls for 84 yards and a score vs. Colorado.

CHUMPS

Quarterback
1.  Bryant Moniz, Hawaii – What the hell is going on out on the Island?  Moniz passed for a paltry 233 yards and 2 TDs in Hawaii's shocking loss to UNLV.
2.  Bryan Ellis, UAB – When UAB faces off against Florida (like in Week 2), you expect Ellis to struggle.  When he 's up against Tulane, you expect production.  And we didn't get it.  Ellis passed for 145 yards, 0 TDs and 2 INT's in the bad-looking loss to the Green Wave.
3.  Austin Davis, Southern Miss - Is Davis still showing signs of his opening game shoulder injury? It sure seems that way.  Against SE Louisiana, he only rushed for 12 yards and passed for 143 and 2 TDs.

Running Backs
1.  Cameron Marshall, Arizona State – Is he banged up worse than we know?  He only rushed the ball 13 times in a close loss to Illinois.  He averaged 5 yards per carry, but the light work-load has us concerned.  7 fantasy points is not going to cut it.
2.  Vick Ballard, Mississippi State  – Yes, this is kind of mean including Ballard on this list.  After all, he was up against the LSU brick wall defense on Thursday night and expectations were low.  Still, only 13 touches for 70 yards on the night?  You would like to think that your team's best offensive weapon would have more than 13 total touches in a big game like this.
3.  Christine Michael, Texas A&M – Against SMU, Michael put up 20 fantasy points on 14 touches.  Against Idaho, he only score 4 points on 6 touches.

Wide Receivers
1.  DJ Woods, Cincinnati – Akron defense is one of the worst in the land and yet Woods was only about to muster up 2 catches on the day for 62 yards.
2.  Ryan Broyles, Oklahoma – Caught 4 balls on the team's first possession and we thought he was on his way to another 10+ catch night.  Nope.  It wound up with a very un-Broyles-like 7-55-0 statline.
3.  Royce Pollard, Hawaii - When you check in with a 2-32-0 line against the likes of UNLV, you're a Chump.

Tight Ends
1. Tyler Eifert, Notre Dame– Or No. 1 ranked tight end this week came up very small - 2 catches for 25 yards.
