Week 2: Injury Update

Here are the key players who are banged up heading into Saturdays college football action. Here are the key players who are banged up heading into Saturday's college football action.

QUARTERBACKS

Dan Persa, Northwestern - sore Achilles, missed Week 1, unlikely to play in Week 2
Jeff Tuel, Washington State - broken collarbone, out 4-8 weeks
Tanner Price, Wake Forest - sprained knee last week, considered probable for Saturday
Austin Davis, Southern Miss - shoulder, probable for Week 2
Kevin Prince, UCLA - concussion and shoulder, questionable for Week 2, Brehaut likely to start

RUNNING BACKS

Kendial Lawrence, Missouri - hairline fracture of leg bone, could miss 1-4 weeks
Kenjon Barner, Oregon - sprained ankle, questionable for Week 2
Brandon Bolden, Mississippi - serious ankle injury, could miss extensive time
Enrique Davis, Mississippi - knee injury, doubtful for Week 2
D.J. Shoemate, Connecticut - sprained ankle kept him out of Week 1, expected to play in Week 2
Jerrel Rhodes, Memphis - knee injury not deemed serious, reports have him as questionable for Week 2
Sam McGuffie, Rice - left Week 1 with ankle injury, remained out for precautionary reasons, coaches say he should be ready to play in Week 2
Orleans Darkwa, Tulane - toe ligament injury, played sparingly in opener, expected to play again in Week 2
Chris Polk, Washington - knee scope, played in Week 1 despite reports he would rest, had a big game
Ed Wesley, TCU - re-aggrevated a shoulder injury, doubtful for Week 2
Montel Harris, Boston College - will miss the upcoming game vs. UCF
Pat Shed, UAB - hernia, OUT for Week 2.  Greg Franklin could fill his shoes in the offense.
Mike Trumpy, Northwestern - concussion, doubtful for Week 2
Malcolm Agnew, Oregon State - hamstring pop, out for Week 2, bye in Week 3
Mustapha Greene, North Carolina State - foot injury, expectd to miss first four games of season
Andrew Buie, West Virginia - collarbone injry, listed as day-to-day
Dennis Johnson, Southern Miss - knee injury, doubtful for Week 2
Jordan Hall, Ohio State - suspension, OUT for Week 2

WIDE RECEIVERS

Ifeanyi Momah, Boston College - knee injury, out for the season
Jermaine Kearse, Washington - sprained ankle, expected to play in Week 2
James Rodgers, Oregon State - recovering from knee injury, out for Week 2
Kevin Bolden, Southern Miss - concussion, questionable for Week 2, coach won't comment on extent of his injury
Brett Moncrief, Troy - foot injury has been a problem since the spring, doubtful for Week 2
Juron Criner, Arizona - recovering from appendectomy, missed Week 2, status for Week 3 is unclear
Chleb Ravenell, Western Michigan - sprained ankle, out for Week 2
Josh Bellamy, Louisville - hamstring, questionable for week 2
Darius Bright, Hawaii - will play in Week 2 after serving one game suspension
Michael Bowman, East Carolina - will play in Week 2 after serving one game suspension
Jerrel Jackson, Missouri - hamstring, doubtful for Friday's game vs. Arizona State

TIGHT ENDS

Ryan Otten, San Jose State - sprained ankle, doubtful for Week 2
Joe Halahuni, Oregon State - shoulder injury, out for Week 2
Travis Kelce, Cincinnati - ankle, expected to play in Week 2
Ted Bolser, Indiana - hamstring, doubtful for Week 2
Logan Brock, TCU - foot injury, doubtful for Week 2

KICKERS

Philip Welch, Wisconsin - out for Week 2
Casey Barth, North Carolina - thigh injury, probable for Week 2
