Better late than never, here are some tasty Start-Sit picks to feast your eyes upon this Thanksgiving Weekend.

JOE ARPASI

BCS Only Start:

QB- Denard Robinson Michigan vs. Ohio State: Do you remember the last time Michigan beat Ohio State? Me neither! This week looks like that should change. On paper most fantasy owners would not want to trust Denard in this match-up. Call it a gut feeling here, but I smell a big day for Michigan all around, and for Denard to step up and shine on the ground and in the air against the Buckeyes.

RB- Stephen Houston Indiana vs. Purdue: Need a sneaky play at the flex position in a BCS only league? Outside of a difficult match-up last week at Michigan State, Houston has been extremely solid, reaching the endzone for four straight weeks heading into that week 12 match-up. Purdue’s defense is giving up 37 fantasy points per game on the road this year. Add in the energy of a rivalry game at home and you have a recipe for a nice game by Houston.

WR- Alec Lemon Syracuse vs. Cincinnati: If you’ve been reading our waiver wire reports and prepping for the future you would have snagged Lemon last week after the waiver wire for this game. Lemon was on a bye last week, but before that he posted 35 and 27 fantasy points the prior two weeks. Cincinnati’s pass defense is ranked 110th in the nation for stopping the pass. This should allow Lemon to reach the endzone yet again this week.

Non BCS Start:

QB- Colby Cameron Louisiana Tech vs. New Mexico State: With the injury suffered by running back Lennon Creer, Cameron stepped up last week and threw for 335 yards and three touchdowns against Nevada. Nevada’s pass defense ranks 73rd in the country in pass defense. This week Creer is banged up again, and New Mexico State’s pass defense is ranked 92nd in the country. Look for more fireworks in the air this week by Cameron and company.

RB- Lampford Mark Nevada at Utah State: With the recent news that running back Mike Ball has been dismissed from the team, Mark assumes the role as primary running back for the Nevada offense. Utah State is not a defensive powerhouse, and although quarterback Cody Fajardo will get his share of yardage, look for Mark to reach the 100 yard and one score plateau again.

WR- Jalen Saunders Fresno State vs. San Jose State: Saunders has been the key man in the Fresno receiver corps over the last month. With David Carr playing as well as he is, the passing game looks to get humming again this week San Jose State is giving up 32 fantasy points per game on the road this season to opposing receivers. This look to be another night for Saunders to reach the endzone, and maybe twice!

BCS Only Sit:

QB- Keith Price Washington vs. Washington State: Price did not start last week due to the mounting injuries he has sustained throughout the season. Nick Montana looked erratic at times and struggled to consistently move the ball down the field. Price did come into the game late but looked well below 100%. Even if he plays this week, you can bet that Washington State will be aggressive in their pass pressure. It’s a safe bet that Price may not be able to finish the game if he does play.

RB- David Wilson Virginia Tech at Virginia: Who would have imagined back in the summer we would be recommending to sit David Wilson against Virginia? Virginia is one of the best turnaround stories of the season, and Wilson has not lived up to the preseason hype. Virginia has only given up 9 fantasy points per game at home to opposing running backs. It’s hard to imagine Wilson not reaching the endzone once in this contest, but it will be difficult to see hi also hitting 100 yards rushing.

WR- Joe Adams Arkansas at LSU: The upset talks have been circulating this week about Arkansas knocking off LSU. Although the Razorbacks have had more recent success against LSU, this looks to be a cementing win for LSU on their title run. LSU has the 5th best pass defense in the country and are only giving up 12 fantasy points to opposing receivers at home. Add in the fact that there’s rain in the forecast and it may be difficult for Adams to use his speed on a wet track.

Non BCS Sit:

QB- David Graves Hawaii vs. Tulane: The Hawaii offense has been a mess lately. Injuries, inconsistent play, and now allegations of point shaving are all distracting the team. If you’re in a deep league and thinking a Hawaii quarterback could be the answer this week, play it safe and avoid the temptation. This is not the Hawaii offense we are used to in the fantasy world.

RB- Lennon Creer Louisiana Tech vs. New Mexico State: Creer was banged up again last week with what is being called an undisclosed injury. He was questionable to return but the coaches held him out. There’s a chance Creer could play, but due to his run of injuries it’s hard to see him being around 100%. Add in the fact that Hunter Lee played well in his absence last week, and it will be hard for the coaches to sit a well running Lee for a nagged up Creer.

WR- Royce Pollard & Billy Ray Stutzman Hawaii vs. Tulane: As stated above, the Hawaii offense is dealing with its share of distractions. Tulane can pound the ball on the ground and keep the Hawaii offense off the field. Pollard and Stutzman were both playing over the time period that the alleged points shaving occurred. It may be difficult to keep those allegations out of their head as they focus on trying to execute their plays. This is another case of play it safe and avoid these guys in your line-up.
