From a fantasy perspective, there’s nothing better than a crazy MAC shootout on a weeknight in late November. We had one of those last week when Buffalo and Akron went into four overtimes with the Bulls prevailing 43-40. James Starks (photo, Icon SMI) played like a man possessed, carrying the ball 37 times for 151 yards and 3 TD’s and catching 13 balls for another 90 yards. 50 touches people! 50 touches! We had Starks ranked as our #3 RB last week, where does he fall in this week’s rankings?

“Use the Force, Luke”
Here are some good-lookin’ RB matchups this weekend:
* Kory Sheets (Purdue) vs. Indiana - The Hoosiers defense is atrocious. Sheets should go for at least 100 total yards and two scores.
* Phillip Tanner (MTSU) vs. North Texas - He’s a bit of a sleeper for you. Tanner toted the rock 27 times for 91 yards and a score last week against WKU. He has a favorable matchup this week against UNT.
* Frank Summers (UNLV) vs. San Diego State - The SDSU rush defense ranks at the bottom of the NCAA.
“These Aren’t The Droids You’re Looking For”
Don’t expect big things from these players this week.
* Brandon Minor (Michigan) vs. Ohio State - Just don’t do it.
* Miami(FL) RB’s vs. Georgia Tech - We think the Tech defense stuffs the run Thursday night in Atlanta.
