Championship week is where college fantasy football legends are born, and goats are forever cursed by owners.  Who came through in the clutch when it mattered most?  Who dropped the ball for fantasy owners?  We present to you Week 13's Champs and Chumps.

CHAMPS

Quarterbacks

1.     Case Keenum, Houston- I don’t see any way in which this guy cannot be invited to the Heisman ceremony. Keenum just kept adding to his ridiculous numbers by posting yet another multi-touchdown performance; 457 yards, 5 TDs.
2.     Denard Robinson, Michigan- By far, Shoelace’s most complete performance of the year just happened to take place at the perfect time. In The Game, Robinson went for 340 total yards and 5 TDs.
3.     Tyler Van Tubbergen, Western Michigan- Bet nobody thought to pick up this QB before his 6 TD performance against Akron. If you did, you know your fantasy football.

Running Backs

1.     Alfred Morris, Florida Atlantic- Just a great day for all involved as FAU avoids the infamous winless season. Morris was the star of the game, rushing for nearly 200 yards and 4 TDs.
2.     Montee Ball, Wisconsin- One of the best seasons ever for a running back. Ball added 4 more TDs to go along with 156 yards rushing, capping off his record-breaking season
3.     Bobby Rainey, Western Kentucky- Great way to finish off a spectacular career as Rainey had his best day of the season, running for over 200 yards and 3 TDs. Hopefully people get to realize how good this kid is in the bowl game.

Wide Receivers

1.     Patrick Edwards, Houston- Edwards and Keenum got on track right in time as they head into the C-USA title game against Southern Miss. Edwards finished with 4 TDs to go along with 181 yards receiving.
2.     Dwight Jones, North Carolina- Nice game from Jones to finish off the regular season for the Tar Heels; 101 yards and 3 TDs.
3.     Brandon Coleman, Rutgers- What a performance from a guy who hadn’t topped 100 yards receiving all year, and did not have more than 1 TD in a game all season long. Coleman finished with 224 yards and 2 TDs. He should be a nice pickup for next year, if Rutgers can get a consistent quarterback.

Tight Ends

1.     Chris Pantale, Boston College- A rough season for a good TE, but finished with a solid outing as Pantale caught 4 passes for 70 yards and a touchdown.
2.     Coby Fleener, Stanford- As always, the TE is the top target in the Stanford offense. Fleener finished with 97 yards and 2 TDs.
3.     Brad Smelley, Alabama- Smelley has been on a roll the past two games with over 140 yards receiving and 3 TDs.

CHUMPS

Quarterbacks

1.     E.J. Manuel, Florida State- Once thought to be a top fantasy option at QB this season, Manuel really didn’t live up to the expectations in his first season as the full-time starter. This last game against Florida was the worst of his performances; 42 total yards and zero scores.
2.     Landry Jones, Oklahoma- The junior QB was not really needed in the blowout win over Iowa State, but I am sure his fantasy owners needed better than 250 yards passing and zero touchdowns.
3.     Nathan Scheelhaase, Illinois- Just an awful end to the season for all involved at Illinois. Scheelhaase finished the season against Minnesota with negative total yards and found himself on the bench.

Running Backs

1.     John White, Utah- White had been on a roll with four straight games with more than 100 yards. Not so against Colorado as the entire offense was completely shut down. White only ran for 28 yards on 10 carries.
2.     Perry Jones, Virginia- Another bad performance for Jones in the most important game of the year for Virginia; 13 yards on six carries.
3.     Jasmin Hopkins, Northern Illinois- Finally a defensive struggle in a MAC game. Maybe they should all be played in the middle of the week. Hopkins finished with only 31 yards on the ground.

Wide Receivers

1.     T.J. Moe, Missouri- I firmly believe that Missouri figured they could be Kansas without having to throw the ball. Moe only caught 3 passes on the day for 20 yards.
2.     T.J. Jones, Notre Dame- I guess it was not a good day for receivers named T.J. The entire Irish passing game was shut down for the most part against Stanford.
3.     Marvin McNutt, Iowa- The senior wideout was on a streak of 5 straight games with over 100 yards receiving. That ended Friday against Nebraska as he only had 29 yards and zero scores.

Tight Ends

1.     Michael Egnew, Missouri- This might have been a solid season for an average TE, but Egnew has immense talent and should be better than this. Only having a single catch in a game is unacceptable. It would be different is he lived up to expectations all season, but he has been one of the biggest fantasy disappointments all season long.
