On Friday, we highlighted a few games to keep an eye on this weekend. Let's take a look back to see what, if anything, we learned.
Oklahoma State at Texas Tech
Question: Can Seth Doege break out of his fantasy slump? His last two games (10 and 20 fantasy points) have been his worst outputs of the season.
Answer: Six freaking fantasy points? That's all Doege was able to muster up.
Wake Forest at Clemson
Question: Can Tajh Boyd rebound from a poor 12 fantasy point performance in Week 9? He had a bye week to get things back in order.
Answer: Boyd got off to a slow start on Saturday, but he did finish with 343 passing yards and 2 TDs.
Nebraska at Penn State
Question: With all hell breaking loose on campus, how will the Nittany Lions play in this one? Impossible to tell.
Answer: Silas Redd was banged up in this one, which did not help PSU's woeful offense. But all in all, the Nittany Lions played with heart considering the circumstances.
Texas at Missouri
Question: Will Malcolm Brown play? If so, what will his workload be? Joe Bergeron and Fozzy Whittaker fantasy owners sure would like to know.
Answer: Brown didn't play. Neither did Bergeron, who was a late scratch. Fozzy Whittaker started the game, but was injured early. The Longhorns running game was a disaster, averaging a measly 2.6 yards per carry.
West Virginia at Cincinnati
Question: Aren't we due for a wide-open Big East shootout? If any two teams are capable of putting on a good offensive show, it's these two.
Answer: Any chance of a shootout went out the window when Cincy QB Zach Collaros went down to injury.
Rice at Northwestern
Question: Are there enough yards to go around between Dan Persa, Kain Colter and Jeremy Ebert? The match up is to die for.
Answer: Persa threw for 372 yards and 4 TDs, Ebert caught 7 balls for 208 yards and 2 scores. Kain Colter only attempted one pass, but he did account for 80 total yards and a TD.
Baylor at Kansas
Question: Speaking of matchups to die for…. will Baylor decide to beat KU through the air or on the ground? Terrance Ganaway owners are hoping they opt for the latter.
Answer: This was one of the more shocking games on the college fantasy docket. Three minutes into the fourth quarter, Baylor only had 3 points on the scoreboard. THREE! Luckily, RG3 was able to rally and save complete disaster. He passed for over 312 yards, rushed for 103 yards, and accounted for 4 TDs. Ganaway owners were stiffed with a 45 yard, 0 TD rushing performance.
Arizona at Colorado
Question: Which Juron Criner will show up in this one? The one that has let down fantasy owners sporadically this season, or the one capable of putting up a 10-200-2 statline?
Answer: Criner logged a ho-hum 7-86-0 statline in this one.
TCU at Boise State
Question: What is the status of banged up Doug Martin? Will he see the majority of the workload or will D.J. Harper eat into his carries?
Answer: Martin didn't carry the ball once in this one. Harper carried all of the load, rushing 24 times for 125 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Texas A&M at Kansas State
Question: With Christine Michael done for the year, can Cyrus Gray finish the season on fire as he did in 2010?
Answer: Gray is up to his 2010 tricks. With Michael out of the mix, he rushed 30 times for 218 yards and 2 scores.
Washington at USC
Question: Will the fantasy stars shine in this one? Chris Polk, Matt Barkley and Robert Woods are all primed for big stats.
Answer: Barkley, Polk and Woods were all gigantic busts in this one. Woods caught 2 balls for 5 yards. Polk rushed for 36 yards and 1 TD. Barkley passed for a wretched 174 yards and 1 score.
Oregon at Stanford
Question: Will LaMichael James put up one of his monster games against this defense?
Answer: LMJ came through for his fantasy owners, rushing for 146 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Arizona State at Washington State
Question: How will the crappy weather (rain/wind/snow in the forecast) affect the passing games? Can Brock Osweiler find a way to stat?
Answer: It didn't affect the passing games whatsoever. Osweiler passed for 351 yards, while Wazzu newbie Connor Halliday racked up 494 yards and 4 scores.
Hawaii at Nevada
Question: Who will catch Bryant Moniz's passes? Royce Pollard is likely out, as is Justin Clapp. The Warriors are so thin at the position that they are considering bringing back up QB David Graves over to catch some passes.
Answer: Nobody will be catching Moniz's passes now as he's likely lost for the year with an injury. Jeremiah Ostrowski did a nice job creating some chemistry with new QB Shane Austin, catching 8 balls for 133 yards and 1 TD.
