Pocket Protector Pick of the Week:

Minnesota (-6) over Northwestern
There are many reasons to like the Gophers this week.  They’re at home.  They’re playing well.  QB Adam Weber is healthy again.  Northwestern lost their best player, Tyrell Sutton, to injury last week.  QB C.J. Bacher was also injured and may not play.  All signs are pointing to a big Minnesota win.

Score Prediction:  Minnesota 31-17

West Virginia (-2.5) over UConn
Somebody in the Big East needs to get on a roll here.  Why not WVU?  After a slow start to the season, they crushed Auburn last week.  We think they’ll get the job done in Storrs.

Score Prediction:  West Virginia 27-21

Michigan (+2) over Purdue
The wheels have come off this Boilers’ season.  Michigan has played better, even in losses, the past couple weeks against Penn State and Michigan State. We think the Wolverines will win what amounts to a bowl elimination game.

Score Prediction:  Michigan 20-16

Missouri (-19) over Baylor
Mizzu is going to have their way with the Bears.  They’ll put up 50+ and Baylor just won’t be able to keep up.

Score Prediction:  Missouri 59-24

Texas (-3.5) over Texas Tech
Is Tech ready to make that leap into the Big Time?  Nope.  Texas will continue their march to the national title game with a win over the Red Raiders.

Score Prediction:  Texas 49-35

Texas A&M (-2.5) over Colorado
The Aggies are started to put some points on the board with Jerrod Johnson under center.  Colorado has issues at the QB position and is trending downward.

Score Prediction:  Texas A&M 31-20

Florida (-5.5) over Georgia
This is a great game that might come down to a key turnover or special teams play.  We think Tim Tebow & Company get their revenge from last year’s loss and Gator Stomp.

Score Prediction:  Florida 36-27

Washington (-47) over USC
Ty Wilingham was fired last week.  We think he’ll have his team “fired” up just enough to keep this within 47 points.

Score Prediction:  USC 49-3

Notre Dame (-4.5) over Pittsburgh
This game pits two teams we have taken multiple times for our Pocket Proctector Pick this year.  Now they face off against each other, putting The Geek in a real quandry.  It appears Pitt QB Bill Stull might not be able to play in this one.  That, and the home field, will be enough to lift the Fighting Irish to victory.

Score Prediction:  Notre Dame 28-21

Florida State (+2.5) over Georgia Tech
This is a pretty big game in the ACC.  FSU is playing with confidence and will do just enough to sneak by the Rambling Wreck.

Score Prediction:  Florida State 23-20
