It was a rough and tumble weekend in the world of college fantasy football.  Which players stood up above the rest?  Who failed to deliver?

Champs

Quarterbacks:
1.     Chandler Harnish, Northern Illinois- Probably the most underrated QB in the nation, Harnish racked up the yardage in that wild shootout on Tuesday against Toledo. The senior passed for 265 yards while rushing for another 133, and tallied 6 TDs.
2.     Austin Dantin, Toledo- The other QB in that midweek contest had a pretty good game as well. Dantin also had 6 total TDs and went for nearly 400 yards of total offense.
3.     Matt Barkley, USC- As of late, this junior QB has established himself as a top-10 pick in the upcoming NFL Draft. Barkley passed for 318 yards and 6 TDs.

Running Backs:
1.     Montee Ball, Wisconsin- It really is amazing how the Badgers just crank out running backs year in, year out. Ball had a great bounce-back game against Purdue, rushing for 224 yards and 3 TDs.
2.     Zach Line, SMU- With SMU’s poor passing game lately, you knew June Jones was going to try and get Line going. He got the job done as the junior back went for 141 yards and 3 TDs.
3.     Joe Bergeron, Texas- The Longhorn run game really got going this week against Texas Tech, all of which without stud frosh Malcolm Brown. Bergeron got the brunt of the work as he went for 191 yards and 3 scores.

Wide Receivers:
1.     Eric Page, Toledo- All five of Dantin’s touchdown passes went to Page. Add in 150 receiving yards and that makes for quite a day from this stud wideout.
2.     Nate Palmer, Northern Illinois- A breakout day for this relatively unknown receiver. Palmer tripled the amount of touchdowns he had all year, and added 120 yards to that total as well.
3.     Da’Jon McKnight, Minnesota- McKnight was the prime target on Saturday for the Gophers, and responded well with 9 catches for 174 yards and 3 TDs.

Tight Ends:
1.     Nick Provo, Syracuse- The senior TE has been on a roll with 4 TDs in his past 3 games. He is a must start in the upcoming weeks.
2.     Ladarius Green, Louisiana-Lafayette- It is about time one of the best tight ends in the land finally got it going. That is now 6 TDs in his last 4 games.
3.     Orson Charles, Georgia- Finally a breakout performance (somewhat) for Charles, who has struggled to match his preseason hype; 60 yards and a touchdown.

Chumps

Quarterbacks:
1.     Casey Pachall, TCU- I’m sure Pachall would trade in numbers for a win anyday, but Saturday was the first game this entire season in which he did not toss a TD pass.
2.     Austin Davis, Southern Miss- In football terms, Davis had a solid game with a touchdown and no turnovers in a win over ECU. In fantasy terms, that is just not getting it done as the team was able to put up 48 points yet Davis had minimal impact.
3.     Chuckie Keeton, Utah State- After an extremely impressive start to the season for Keeton, he has really struggled as of late both running and passing the football. Backup Adam Kennedy replaced Keeton to finish the game against Hawaii.

Running Backs:
1.     Edwin Baker, Michigan State- Baker has completely fallen off the map due to his fumbling issues and with the rise of sophomore back Le’Veon Bell. He was only able to rush for 20 yards and should probably be dropped from your team if he is still on the roster.
2.     Giovani Bernard, UNC- After a breakout performance the week prior, Bernard was not as good against a sub-par N.C. State defense, averaging just a 2.6 average on 18 carries.
3.     Matt Brown, Temple- Following three straight 100-yard performances, Brown took a backseat as the Owls new starting QB, Chris Coyer, rushed for 184 on the day. Brown was only able to account for 17 yards on the ground.

Wide Receivers:
1.     Nick Toon, Wisconsin- Toon has really been struggling to get the ball in the past 3 games. Fortunately, they didn’t need his production against Purdue as the game was not close. The senior wideout caught only 3 passes for 35 yards.
2.     Aaron Pflugrad, Arizona State- Once thought to be the go-to guy for quarterback Brock Osweiler, Pflugrad is now an afterthought in the Sun Devils offense. He only recorded 1 catch in the loss to UCLA.
3.     Alshon Jeffery, South Carolina- How could the top receiving prospect for next year’s NFL Draft be so unproductive week in, week out in fantasy football. Look no further than his quarterback. Connor Shaw continues to look away from Jeffery each and every week.

Tight Ends:
1.     Austin Seferian-Jenkins, Washington- Seferian-Jenkins might be hitting that freshman wall as he has had two straight bad weeks. He recorded just 1 catch for no yardage.
