It is clear that injuries tore apart what was becoming an epic fantasy season for Aaron Opelt and the Rockets of Toledo. He tallied just two TDs in the last five games.
Bad acting (on playaction), poor storylines, and it looks worse in HD. I’ll admit it, I started taking notice of Zac Dysert and his big numbers. And just when I was considering bringing him on board he tosses three picks, well done RedHawks.
Whether it was a spot start for BJ Daniels or a start for the USF defense the Bulls had some momentum. After a 31-0 shutout at Rutgers I want the NCAA to grant Matt Grothe an extra year of eligibility.
Daniel Thomas looked primed to run over a reeling Mizzou defense at home. Instead he posted his lowest all-purpose yardage total of the season.
Maybe I’m just the chairman, president and CEO of the Russell Shepard fan club, but it doesn’t take an expert to see Jordan Jefferson and Jarrett Lee are mediocre. Give Shepard a shot!
A&M looks worn out offensively, which is too bad with a chance to spoil Colt McCoy’s career in a few weeks.
Mike Leach has finally left us shipwrecked with a QB controversy. He will right the ship next fall.
I’m sure New Mexico State’s head coach woke up hung over in Hawai’i with no recollection of his offense’s anemic performance. Lucky him.
Army-VMI gave me a shot to see if Trent Steelman has the potential to post some Ricky Dobbs type numbers. I wouldn’t hold your breath.
I’ve never seen a coach split snaps with two great quarterbacks, but Brian Kelly has shown me it’s possible. In the meantime he’s put Collaros and Pike’s value in question just in time for the playoffs.
