What You Need To Know

The Aggies have a new head coach, Gary Anderson, former defensive coordinator of the Utah Utes.  He inherits a running QB in junior Diondre Borel and a promising young RB in Robert Turbin.

Best Fantasy Prospect(s)

In 2008, QB Diondre Borel led the team in rushing with 632 yards and 5 scores.  He shared time with Sean Setzer under center and still managed to pass for 1,705 yards and 11 TDs.  Look for those passing numbers to jump significantly in 2009 as he is the clear No. 1 signal caller on the team.

Sleeper Prospect

In his freshman year, RB Robert Turbin rushed for 485 yards and 8 TDs while also proving to be threat in the receiving game (20 catches for 256 yards and 2 TDs).  With a year under his belt, expect him to become a bigger part of the offense in 2009.

WR Omar Sawyer had a monster spring game and is another guy to keep an eye on since the Aggies leading receiver from a year ago (Otis Nelson) has moved on.

Biggest Question Heading into August

How much better can Borel be in 2009?  He focused on improving his passing this spring and made great strides.  But from a fantasy standpoint, what makes Borel an intriguing prospect is his running ability.

Spring Game Hero

WR Omar Sawyer had one of the best spring games in the country, catching three balls for an amazing 196 yards.  He scored on 72 and 80-yard touchdowns.

Injury Report

Nothing major to report.
