What You Need To Know
The Spartans reached into the Arena Football League to find a quarterbacks coach (Terry Malley). Malley made an instant impact in spring ball as the offense looked more explosive, despite the lack of a sure-fire starter at QB. Big play WR Kevin Jurovich returns after missing most of 2008 with mononucleosis. Incoming recruits RB Lamon Muldrow and WR Marquis Avery could make a splash this fall.
Best Fantasy Prospect(s)
WR Kevin Jurovich is a legitimate fantasy threat. He missed most of 2008 with mono, but received a medical hardship from the NCAA to get another year of eligibility. In 2007, he caught 85 balls for 1,183 yards and 9 touchdowns.
Sleeper Prospect
RB Lamon Muldrow arrived on campus this spring as the #13 rated JUCO player in the country - a prized recruit for San Jose State. For that reason alone, one would think Muldrow has a great chance to see early playing time for the Spartans. He lived up to the hype in spring ball displaying power and the ability to catch the ball out of the backfield.

Can QB Kyle Reed improve from a subpar 2008 campaign? He was pretty accurate but

Muldrow carried the ball 9 times for 56 yards and a score. Jurovich had 6 receptions for 98 yards and a TD.
