What You Need To Know

The Vandals lost their top fantasy prospect of 2008, TE Eddie Williams, to graduation.  QB Nathan Enderle and RB Deonte Jackson are both back, but will work behind a rebuilt offensive line.

Best Fantasy Prospect(s)

RB Deonte Jackson was a 1,000 yard rusher in 2007.  Last fall, Idaho went to more of a committee system and Jackson’s number dipped as one would expect (700 rushing yards).  He’s certainly not a draftable commodity, but if the coaching staff lean on him again as they did two years ago, he could be a stop-gap RB to grab off the waiver wire in deep leagues.

Sleeper Prospect

QB Nathan Enderle could have a few big games in him this fall.  Last year against Western Michigan, he threw for 334 yards and 3 TDs.  He threw at least two TD passes in 8 games last fall.

Biggest Question Heading into August

Will we see the Deonte Jackson of 2007 or 2008?  It’s up to the coaching staff as to whether to ride Jackson as their horse, or split the carries with other backs.

Spring Game Hero

Nathan Enderle was 7-of-12 for 121 yards and an INT.

Injury Report

Nothing major to report.
