What You Need To Know

Mike Hartline was named starting QB by coach Rich Brooks.  The talented Randall Cobb, who played some QB last fall, was moved over to wide receiver.

Best Fantasy Prospect(s)

Randall Cobb is the Wildcats most dynamic playmaker.  The coaching staff would be wise to get the ball in his hands as much as possible this fall.  Look for him to line up out wide, in the backfield, and under center.

Sleeper Prospect

With Derrick Locke on the mend from knee surgery, RB Alfonso Smith took advantage of the extra spring reps and played very well.  He could be a factor this fall in the running game.

Biggest Question Heading into August

Will Hartline perform well enough to keep the starting job?  If he falters, does Kentucky dare put Cobb back at QB?

Spring Game Hero

Hartline completed 17-of-33 passes for 208 yards and a pair of TDs.  Cobb led all receivers with 70 yards on four catches, including a 26-yard TD catch.  RB Alfonso Smith accounted for 120 total yards on 21 touches.

Injury Report

RB Derrick Locke missed spring as he recovered from knee surgery.  He is hoping to be ready to play this season.
