What You Need To Know

In 2008, the Cougs were one of the worst teams in the history of the Pac-10. There was absolutely no fantasy value on the offense, but in year two under coach Paul Wulff can he get things turned around?

Best Fantasy Prospect(s)

The answer to “can things get turned around in 2009” is NO. There is not one single player that should be drafted for 120 leagues.  The pickings are slim even for Pac-10 leagues.

Sleeper Prospect

But if you are in one of those Pac-10 leagues you might take a stab in free agency to acquire RB Logwone Mitz.

Biggest Question Heading into August

Can QB Kevin Lopina get any type of help so the offense can move the ball down the field and generate points? Lopina is a capable spread QB, but he doesn’t have the type of talent to carry a team on his back. If the Cougs can find a ground game behind Mitz, give some pass protection to Lopina, and find someone to replace WR Brandon Gibson as the go-to WR the 2009 offense might, MIGHT have a chance.

Spring Game Hero

Not one single Cougar player racked up stats that would be seen as impressive by any means. The offense was poor at best.

Injury Report

No major injuries.
