What You Need To Know

The Cardinal were horrendous on offense in 2008. The only bright spot was RB Toby Gerhart. Can Harbaugh find some talent to surround Gerhart with to allow him more open space in the offense? Not likely.

Best Fantasy Prospect(s)

RB Toby Gerhart is a battering ram of a running back, and he will be the focal point of the Cardinal offense.

Sleeper Prospect

Unless someone emerges in August camp, there is no other Cardinal player that should be looked at from a fantasy standpoint.

Biggest Question Heading into August

Will RB Toby Gerhart leave the Stanford football team to focus on his professional baseball career? Gerhart spent most of the spring playing on the Stanford baseball team instead of practicing with the football team. Gerhart is a major league prospect on the baseball diamond, but we think he will be back to lead the Stanford offense in the fall.

Spring Game Hero

QB Andrew Luck went 18 of 25 for 352 yards and 5 TDs in the spring game. Don’t get too excited about these numbers, because he was playing against the Cardinal defense!

Injury Report

No major injuries.
