What You Need To Know
The good news: QB Max Hall, RB Harvey Unga and TE Dennis Pitta are back. The bad news: WR Austin Collie and six other offensive starters are gone.
Best Fantasy Prospect(s)
The trio of Hall, Unga and Pitta will all be high draft picks in All-120 leagues. Hall is a Top 25 fantasy QB, Unga is a Top 25 RB, and Pitta is a Top 5 TE.
Sleeper Prospect
All the buzz this off-season was surrounding WR McKay Jacobson. The speedy receiver is back from a two year mission and hopes to step right into the starting lineup. Even thought he missed most of camp with a bum hammy, he showed enough early on to receive praise from the coaching staff. With Austin Collie (and his 106 receptions) off to the NFL, there are some big shoes to fill. Luke Ashworth and O’Neill Chambers are the other starting WRs to keep an eye on.
Biggest Question Heading into August
Can the revamped o-line protect Hall, and punch open holes for Unga? The four new starters on the line will be thrown into the fire in the opener when the Cougars face Oklahoma.
Spring Game Hero
BYU did not have a spring game this year due to stadium renovations.
Injury Report
McKay Jacobson missed most of spring camp with a hamstring injury.
