What You Need To Know

Air Force doesn’t appear to be a likely fantasy draft day destination.  Too many moving parts to get a good read on the squad.  Heading into the spring, the Falcons appeared set at the quarterback and running back positions with Tim Jefferson and Asher Clark, respectively.  Then Jefferson announced he was going to focus more on academics this spring.  He attended only 5 of the team’s 15 practice sessions.  Coach Troy Calhoun moved Clark into the QB position.  Then Clark sustained an injury to his MCL and missed the end of spring ball.  The end result is that we didn’t learn much of anything this spring from the boys up in Colorado Springs.

Best Fantasy Prospect(s)

One has to think that when everything shakes out, Tim Jefferson will be lining up under center this fall.  It makes too much sense.  However, Jefferson is far from a great fantasy option.

Sleeper Prospect

We liked what we saw from RB/FB Jared Tew in the Armed Forces Bowl (149 yards and two TDs).  If he can weasel his way into the starting lineup, he could become someone to watch this fall. Savior Stephens is another RB to watch.

Biggest Question Heading into August

There are many.  Who will win the QB job?  Will any one individual get the bulk of the carries at RB?  What position will Asher Clark play this fall?

Injury Report

Asher Clark missed some time with an injury to his MCL.  He is expected to be ready for August camp.
