Tulane
What You Need To Know
Tulane’s two fantasy stars from a year ago, RB Andre Anderson and WR Jeremy Williams, were both injured early in the season and never returned. In their absence, the team lost eight straight games to finish the season. Both are back in the fold for 2009.
Best Fantasy Prospect(s)
“Andre2000” is The Man. He rushed for 864 yards and 7 TDs in a little over six games last fall before missing the remainder of the season with a fractured shoulder. At the time of the injury, he was fourth in the country in rushing. He is a Top 5 fantasy RB talent in 2009.
Sleeper Prospect
WR Jeremy Williams could be a forgotten man in many leagues. Like Anderson, he was injured early in the season (broken hand and knee injuries). In 5 games, he caught 27 balls for 437 yards and 5 touchdowns. Project those stats for an entire season and you’re looking at a 1,000-10 statline. Don’t forget about Mr. Williams come draft day.
Biggest Question Heading into August
Can Joe Kemp get the ball to his talented skill position players? He was named the No. 1 QB at the end of spring ball over last year’s starter, Kevin Moore.
Spring Game Hero
With Anderson and Williams not participating in the game, nobody really stood out.
Injury Report
As we mentioned above, Anderson and Williams are both recovering from injuries sustained in the 2008 season. Anderson participated in non-contact drills this spring and should be ready for 2009 action. The news on Williams is that he should be at full strength come August.
