Marshall
What You Need To Know
The Herd entered spring with two viable fantasy options in TE Cody Slate and RB Darius Marshall. Then Darius was charged with drug possession and received six months probation. His status with the team is unknown at this time.
Another Darius (Passmore), the team’s leading receiver in 2008, has graduated.
Best Fantasy Prospect(s)
TE Cody Slate is easily the best option on the Thundering Herd. He racked up 510 yards and 8 touchdowns last year despite missing a couple games with injuries. His three year totals: 2,012 receiving yards and 19 TDs. Slate is a Top 10 tight end in all formats.
Sleeper Prospect
RB Jordan Taylor looks like the frontrunner to take the spot of Darius Marshall, who is currently suspended from the team for off-the-field problems.
Biggest Question Heading into August
Can Marshall find a quality quarterback? Brian Anderson has taken control of the QB competition and looks like the starter, but he didn’t exactly set the world on fire this spring.
Spring Game Hero
Nobody stood out. Defense dominated the game.
Injury Report
Nothing major to report - other than Darius Marshall’s drug bust.
