What You Need To Know

The Jayhawks return one of the Big 12’s most explosive offenses.  The big off-season story was the suspension of WR Dezmon Briscoe for violating team rules.  He’s missed spring ball, but was reinstated back to the team in late April.  Backup RB Jocques Crawford wasn’t so lucky.  His suspension from the team seems more permanent in nature.

Best Fantasy Prospect(s)

Pick your poison.  KU is loaded.  At QB, Todd Reesing is primed to another great year.  WR Dezmon Briscoe is back on the team and ready to explode.  RB Jake Sharp is a good fantasy prospect, especially in PPR leagues.  WR Kerry Meier caught 97 passes for 1,045 yards and 8 TDs in 2008.

Sleeper Prospect

WR Johnathan Wilson benefitted from Briscoe’s suspension this spring and led all receivers in the spring game.  Should Briscoe get in more trouble, or if Kerry Meier is needed as a backup QB, Wilson becomes a coveted fantasy player.

Biggest Question Heading into August

Can Briscoe stay in the good graces of the coaching staff?  One more screw up and he could be off the team.

Spring Game Hero

Todd Reesing was in midseason form, throwing for 250 yards… in the first half!

Injury Report

Nothing major to report.
