The Cavs unveiled a no-huddle spread offense this spring. However, no true playmakers emerged on offense.
There aren’t many to choose from at the moment. With RB Cedric Peerman off to the NFL, perhaps Mikell Simpson will become someone to watch.
QB Jameel Sewell is a running threat. The problem: he might not see the field much in 2009 - unless he comes out on top from the ongoing QB battle.
Who’s going to play QB? Marc Verica, Vic Hall and Sewell are duking it out. It doesn’t sound like anyone is the clear leader heading out of spring ball.
QB Marc Verica was 14-19 for 148 yards and threw game’s only TD pass. Mikell Simpson scored the game’s only other TD on a 48 yard jaunt, and finished with 64 yards on 5 carries.
Nothing major to report.
