Mark Whipple arrives to take over the ‘O’ at the ‘U’. His pro style offensive system appears to be suiting QB Jacory Harris quite well.
Jacory Harris showed glimpses of greatness late last season. He had some stellar moments this spring, highlighted by a 17-18 passing performance in one scrimmage.
WR Aldarius Johnson is the leading returning pass catcher, although his 2008 numbers weren’t exactly staggering: 31-332-3.
Will anyone step up at RB and WR to become a legitimate fantasy force? There’s plenty of talent on the two-deep, but nobody seems to be a true No. 1 option. At RB, Javarris James and Graig Cooper will likely share carries. Over at WR, Aldarius Johnson leads a crowded group looking to emerge.
Backup RB Damien Berry rushed 14 times for 114 yards and a 54-yard TD as the Canes offense dominated their defense.
RB Javarris James missed the spring game with an undisclosed injury.
