MARYLAND
Things are set at QB and RB, where Chris Turner and Da’Rel Scott both return.
RB Da’Rel Scott rushed for 1,133 yards and 8 scores 2008, despite dealing with some nagging injuries. He figures to be the focal point of the Terps offense this fall.
WR Torrey Smith has as good a chance as anyone to be the Terps leading pass catcher.
Darrius Heyward-Bey is off to play ball for Al Davis. Will Torrey Smith emerge as the No. 1 receiving target? He got most of the press this spring, but Adrian Cannon and Quintin McCree also had their moments.
WR Quintin McCree exploded in the spring game, snagging 4 balls for an amazing 163 yards and three long scores.
Da’Rel Scott strained his ACL and missed the last week of practice. He is expected to be 100% by the time August rolls around.
