BOSTON COLLEGE

What You Need To Know

The Eagles have a new offensive coordinator in Gary Tranquill who intends to implement more of a no-huddle, up-tempo offense.  But who will run the show on the field?  There is a competition brewing at QB.

Best Fantasy Prospect(s)

The best bet could be the BC defense.  They were a top notch unit in 2008, and should continue to be solid this fall.

RB Montel Harris accounted for 1,060 total yards and 6 TDs last year.  Supposedly, the coaching staff was high on Harris this spring, and he should have the best shot to lead the team in rushing once again.

Sleeper Prospect

The offense struggled this spring, so finding a sleeper among the group is no easy task.  RB Josh Haden could fit the mold as well as anyone.  He was a more highly touted recruit than Montel Harris and was expected to make a big splash last fall.  But as the season wore on, Haden battled injury and Harris became the main man in the BC backfield.  Perhaps Haden will have better luck in his sophomore season.

Biggest Question Heading into August

Who’s the QB?  Dominique Davis appears to be the frontrunner, but Justin Tuggle and Codi Boek are in the mix.

Spring Game Hero

The defense dominated in the spring game.  On the offensive side of the ball, nobody had eye-popping numbers.  QB Dominique Davis had a so-so performance, completing 20 of 40 passes for 145 yards and an INT.

Injury Report

Nothing major to report.
