Damaged Goods- Players Returning from Injury

Running Backs

Eugene Jarvis (Kent State)
Jarvis is returning from a lacerated kidney that he suffered last season. His rehab has gone well and he looked like his old self during the Flashes spring game in his lone series of work.

Matt Asiata (Utah)
Asiata is returning from a knee injury that cost him most of the 2009 season. Even if completely healthy, he will probably be involved in the dreaded RBBC in 2010.

Darren Evans (Virginia Tech)
Evan returns to the Hokies backfield after missing the entire 2009 season due to a knee injury. His recovery has gone well and he should be ready to contribute this fall, although likely as a back up to Ryan Williams.

Brynn Harvey (Central Florida)
Things are not looking good for Harvey right now as his knee injury has the real possibility of keeping him out of the first 4 games of the season. This is a huge concern for fantasy owners and will need to be monitored closely as draft day approaches.

Robert Turbin (Utah State)
He suffered a torn ACL in February and his season is severely in doubt. There is a great possibility that he does not play at all in 2010 and tries to get a medical redshirt to come back in 2011.

Robert Bolden (Purdue)
Bolden tore his ACL in April and is highly questionable to play this fall. There have been reports that he might be ready in 2010, but that might just be too optimistic.

Phillip Tanner (Middle Tennesse)
Tanner is returning from a knee injury that cost him almost all of the 2009 season. He has pronounced himself to be healthy and will be looking to have his best season yet.

Graig Cooper (Miami FL)
Cooper suffered a partial tear of his ACL in last years bowl game, thus putting his 2010 season in jeopardy.

Baron Batch (Texas Tech)
Batch is coming off surgery to repair a sports hernia. He is expected to be ready to go for August camp, but his status should be monitored closely considering his injury history.

Vincent Smith (Michigan)
Smith is recovering from a knee injury and the reports have been promising. Keep updated on his status throughout the summer to see how healthy he will be for the beginning of the season.

John Clay (Wisconsin)
Clay had surgery on both ankles this spring and is reportedly “pain free” right now.

Lance Smith (Memphis)
Smith broke his leg this off-season and his availability for the 2010 season is in question.

Derrick Locke (Kentucky)
Locke broke his arm in a moped accident in June. He will be in a splint for around 4 weeks, but should be ready for the start of the season.

Other running backs returning from injury that are expected to be 100% in August:

Da’Rel Scott (Maryland)
DJ Harper (Boise State)
Dominique Wallace (Virginia)
Victor Anderson (Louisville)
Darius Willis (Indiana)
Jewel Hampton (Iowa)
Adam Robinson (Iowa)
Brandon Wegher (Iowa)
Chad Spann (Northern Illinois)
Bernard Pierce (Temple)
Chris Polk (Washington)
Emmanuel Moody (Florida)
