At long last, game week is here!

We've released our Week 1 Player Rankings.  To view them, go to our new FFCPI page here.  These rankings will change throughout the week as news breaks.  Be sure to check back often.  Thanks, and GOOD LUCK in Week 1!

For more information about how our FFCPI Weekly Player Rankings will work this season, read below....

CollegeFootballGeek.com’s FFCPI is released every Wednesday night during the regular season. Click the CURRENT FFCPI tab to see it. We’ll continue to tweak and update the rankings right up until kickoff each week.

So, what the heck is the FFCPI?

“FFCPI” stands for Fantasy Football Champs Performance Index.  It will serve as CollegeFootballGeek.com’s in-season Big Board in 2011.

Our friends at FFChamps designed the FFCPI eleven years ago and have been dominating the NFL fantasy world ever since.  Now, we’re bringing it on over to the world of college fantasy football.  The rating system is based on a proprietary formula, which ranks players not only by individual talent, but also projects their potential for the upcoming week.  We took this formula, tested it extensively, and tweaked it to adapt to the college game. It’s a perfect fit.

While the FFCPI is built upon an intricate mathematical formula, it’s not solely a computerized ranking system.  The human element a heavy influence in the equation is also blended in to the equation.  Our expert staff will now have a vast amount of new resources at their disposal to be even more accurate – and timely – with our weekly player rankings.

If your player is not listed, we are not recommending him for this week. He will be listed with -1 under the Matchups tab. Please e-mail us if you think there is a mistake.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  For Week 1, we have hidden the FFCPI value column.  Once we have actual game stats to evaluate, we will include this column (in Week 2 or 3). For Week 1, these are straight player rankings based upon the opponent's strength, our player seasonal statistical projections with plenty of "gut feel" added into the mix.

Also note, the "Combine RB and WR" feature needs some tweaking and will be more accurate in the coming weeks.

If you want help picking your starters - JUST ASK! Simply use the Expert Advice and submit your lineup and we'll tell you who we'd start.
