College Fantasy Football: Game Updates (9/3)

Were immersed in college football action. Here are some quick fantasy hitters from the noon games. Penn State 41, Indiana State 7 RB Silas Redd rushed it 12 times for 104 yards and 2 touchdowns. We're immersed in college football action.  Here are some quick fantasy hitters from the noon games.

Penn State 41, Indiana State 7
RB Silas Redd rushed it 12 times for 104 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Both Matt McGloin and Rob Bolden played extensively at quarterback.  McGloin looked a little bit sharper.
WR Derek Moye caught 4 balls for 57 yards and was open on several deep balls that didn't connect.

Auburn 42, Utah State 38
Great comeback by the defending national champs.
Utah State freshman QB Chuckie Keeton passed for 213 yards and rushed for 33 yards and 2 touchdowns.  He's one to watch once he gets into WAC play.
USU RB Robert Turbin rushed 22 times for 70 yards and 2 scores.
Auburn QB Barrett Trotter passed for 261 yards and 3 scores.
Michael Dyer rushed for 57 yards and 2 sores.
Onterrio McCalleb totalled 87 yards on the day with no scores.  He looked dangerous.

Connecticut 35, Fordham 3
Redshirt freshman tailback Lyle McCombs came out of nowhere to rush for 141 yards and FOUR touchdowns.

Northwestern 24, Boston College 17
Dan Persa did not play in this one.  His replacement, Kain Colter, passed for 197 yards and rushed for 71 yards and a score.
Northwestern RB Mike Trumpy put up a 15-85-1 statline. 
WR Jeremy Ebert only caught 4 balls for 54 yards.
Boston College QB Chase Rettig passed for 375 yards but no scores.
Golden Eagle RB Andre Williams rushed 22 times for 114 yards and 2 scores.
BC WR Ifeanyi Momah caught 8 balls for 157 yards.

Missouri 17, Miami(OH) 6
Redhawk RB Erik Finklea rushed 19 times for 71 yards and a score. 
Nick Harwell did not register a single reception.
Missouri QB James Franklin rushed 14 times for 72 yards and 1 TD.  He also passed for 129 yards and a TD.
RB Kendial Lawrence was a bust, carrying the ball 9 times for 10 yards.
TJ Moe caught 6 balls for 56 yards.
TE Michael Egnew caght 2 balls for 12 yards.

Ohio State 42, Akron 0
OSU QB Joey Bauserman passed for 163 yards and 3 TDS, and also rushed for a score.
Buckeye RB Carlos Hyde rushed 19 times for 92 yards and no scores.
TE Jake Stoneburner caught 4 balls for 50 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Virginia Tech 66, Appalachian State 13
Hokie RB Davis Wilson put up a 16-162-3 statline.
QB Logan Thomas passed for 149 and 2 scores, and rushed for 16 yards.P

Purdue 27, Middle Tennessee 24
MTSU QB Logan Kilgore threw for 330 yards and 2 scores.
Purdue RB Ralph Bolden rushed 17 times for 120 yards.

Iowa 41, Tennessee Tech 7
Hawkeye RB Marcus Coker flopped in this one, rushing for 41 yards on only 11 carries.
WR Marvin McNutt was the star of the show, catching 6 balls for 140 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Alabama 48, Kent State 7
RB Trent Richardson only rushed for 37 yards, but he did reach the endzone 3 times.
WR Marquis Maze caught 8 passes for 118 yards and 1 TD.
