Commentary
With so many bowl games remaining on the docket, it’s difficult to make too many assumptions from the standings at this point. 40 oz to Freedom is our current leader, but he also has the least amount of players remaining (5). Galway Fish (#3, 660 minutes remaining) and darwinpoodle (#2, 600 minutes) appear to be sitting in the best position. Both are in the Top 5 and have a bunch of players yet to play. There are participants in the #11-20 range who could easily shoot up to the top of the chart.
The difference makers this bowl season thus far, from a fantasy standpoint, have been Dwight Dasher (MTSU), Mohamed Sanu (Rutgers), and Kyle Padron and Shawnbrey McNeal from SMU. Dasher went nuts in the win over Southern Miss, rushing for 201 yards and accounting for 4 touchdowns. Sanu racked up 31 fantasy points with a nice blend of rushing and receiving production. Padron and McNeal both had standout performances in the blowout win over Nevada. If you have a few of these guys on your roster, you’re probably in the hunt.
Looking for a bowl dud? The list begins and ends with Colin Kaepernick. Our top rated bowl fantasy QB had a disastrous game against SMU. SMU got out to a big lead, thus taking away the Nevada rushing attack. Force the Pack to throw, and they are in trouble. If you passed on Kaep in favor of one of the other big name QBs this bowl season, you made a wise move.
