CFG Contest Updates - Week 9 Review |
We have two contests going on here at CollegeFootballGeek.com: The Reader’s Rumble and the ESPN Pick ‘Em Challenge. Both contests include our savvy readers and a few CFG staff members.
Each week, we’ll offer up a brief synopsis of who’s atop the leaderboard. Let’s get to it…
The CFG Reader’s Rumble is a 24-team, head-to-head college fantasy football league sponsored by our friends at U-Sports/AthlonSports and FantasyTrophies.com. U-Sports was good enough to donate the league management services and FantasyTrophies.com is donating a killer trophy to our winner (see picture below).

Week 9 Review:
* Last week offered many close battles, as 8 games were within 15 points.
* Minimen was the 2nd highest scoring team in the league last week, but ran into the #1 squad and lost (Beat By The Nudge). That’s always a kick in the nuts.
* Revenge of the Hoosier must have been sick that his beloved IU blew a great opportunity to beat Iowa on Saturday. However, there was some solice in that he won his Rumble fantasy game by 1 point over Mister Bait, keeping his playoff hopes alive.

The CFG ESPN Pick ‘Em is a pick-the-winner game with a twist: Players must rank their picks in order of confidence. There are 28 competitors on The Quest for the Fat Man - affectionately referring to the trophy donated by our sponsor, FantasyTrophies.com (see picture above).
