THE RUMBLE

The CFG Reader’s Rumble is a 24-team, head-to-head college fantasy football league sponsored by our friends at U-Sports/AthlonSports and FantasyTrophies.com.  U-Sports was good enough to donate the league management services and FantasyTrophies.com is donating a killer trophy to our winner (see picture below).

Championship Week is here!  The finals pit 10-2 Mmmmmm….beer and 9-3 Make It Happen.

Summary:  On paper, this game looked like a slam-dunk for Minimen.  The match ups didn’t seem to be in Beer’s favor.  However, Beer’s TE Andrew Quarless, who had 1 TD catch all year, scored 2, Joe Webb racked up 35 fantasy points against a good ECU defense, and Baron Batch exploded for 35 points against a supposedly stout Sooner D.

Summary:  Make It Happen is peaking at the right time.  He scored a league season high 194.20 points in this one - a full 18 points better than the previous record!  Every one of Make It’s 5 true skill players scored over 20 points, with BJ Daniels (47 points) and Toby Gerhart (41 points) leading the way.  CRAZYHORSE fell victim to Bernard Pierce’s goose egg, and a season-low performance from Austin Pettis.  However, even if those two had performed up to their normal capabilities, it likely still wouldn’t have been enough to overtake Make It’s record-setting performance.

Weekly Summary
