BALL STATE
News:  Running back MiQuale Lewis will resume his role as the wildcat QB that he held in 2008.
CFG Analysis: This is good and bad. The use in the wildcat will help the former high school QB. But this is being done so young RB Cory Sykes can see more game action.

FRESNO STATE
News:  Head coach Pat Hill has stated that he intends to leave running back Robbie Rouse in the game as the team’s #1 goal line back.
CFG Analysis: This helps ease concerns about Rouse not getting enough TDs due to his small size. Rouse remains a top sleeper back for 2010.

IOWA
News:  Kicker Daniel Murray is in a position battle with Trent Mossbrucker.
CFG Analysis: Mossbrucker has a real leg, so this one is legit. But Murray brings big game experience that is invaluable.

MIDDLE TENNESSEE STATE
News:  Star quarterback Dwight Dasher is the focus of an “ongoing inquiry” by university officials and the subject of an MTSU Police investigation regarding borrowed money and stolen checks.
CFG Analysis: Oh boy, the timing on this one is sure to rock the fantasy world.  Even if it turns out to be nothing, expect Dasher's ADP to drop over the next few days.  As of Friday, Dasher is still practicing with the team. Stay tuned.

MISSOURI
News:  Wide receiver Jerrell Jackson broke his wrist and had a pin inserted to allow him to play this season. He looks to play on the outside when he returns instead of in Jeremy Maclin’s old position.
CFG Analysis: Jackson will miss the first few weeks of the season.  With the move to the outside it could really put a wrench into our original projection for him.

NOTRE DAME
News:  Tight End Kyle Rudolph has been hampered by the same hamstring injury that held him out of the end of spring camp.
CFG Analysis: Buyer beware here. This has turned into a lingering injury and it could linger even further into the season.

OKLAHOMA
News:  Wide receiver Kenny Stills has suffered a slight groin injury.
CFG Analysis: This is something to monitor. Stills looks to be the deep threat and if the injury affects his speed it will hurt his fantasy value.

OKLAHOMA STATE
News:  Wide receiver Hubert Anyiam returned to practice after recovering from off season foot surgery. He is still not cleared for full contact.
CFG Analysis: His recovery remains on schedule, and we’ll need to see how he handles contact once cleared by the doctors.

PITTSBURGH
News:  Running back Ray Graham has been day-to-day with a non-serious knee injury.
CFG Analysis: Graham is a handcuff player for starting RB Dion Lewis. We will see if the injury continues to linger or gets better.

RUTGERS
News:  Running back Joe Martinek injured his hamstring on the first day of fall camp, but was able to resume practice two weeks later.
CFG Analysis: Although his return is in a limited role, expect Martinek to be ready to go come September.

TEMPLE
News:  Running back Bernard Pierce has been held out of contact drills after suffering a blow to the head. They are not calling it a concussion and the move appears to be cautionary.
CFG Analysis: Doesn’t look very serious but it’s still worth monitoring to see how long he is held out of contact drills.

TEXAS TECH
News:  Running back Baron Batch missed practice over a sore shoulder.
CFG Analysis: Add in the shoulder injury to a recovering sports hernia, and Batch looks like he might not be able to shoulder the majority of the workload if he can’t find a way to stay healthy.

TROY
News:  Wide receiver Jerrel Jernigan was the main wildcat weapon in 2009, but those duties will be handed over to back-up QB Jonathan Chandler in 2010.
CFG Analysis: This hurts Jernigan’s fantasy value and you should take note of this when draft day rolls around.

USC
News:  Running back Dillon Baxter was suspended for the season opener after a violation of team rules.
CFG Analysis: Baxter has been on a loose leash, and after the NCAA decided to look into Kiffin’s recruiting at Tennessee, Kiffin decided to tighten the leash a bit.

USC
News:
Starting tailback Allen Bradford suffered a bruised left knee and left the practice field on a cart, but doctors determined he had no ligament damage.
CFG Analysis:  Will Bradford be ready for the opener?  If not, with Dillon Baxter suspended, Marc Tyler might get his shot to start against Hawaii.
