BIG EAST FANTASY SNAPSHOT

CINCINNATI

Best Bet: QB Zach Collaros & WR Armon Binns
Collaros was simply brilliant in the games he started last year in relief of Tony Pike. He is heading up a potent offense and has the potential to be a top 10 QB in most 120 team leagues. Binns showed what he was capable of last year and should be the go-to WR in a high-powered Bearcat offense.

Sleeper Potential: RB Isaiah Pead
He is coming off a season of roughly 1000 total yards and 11 scores. Pead has the potential to exceed those numbers and could be a nice value pick on draft day.

Biggest Fantasy Question: How much will the Cincinnati offense miss Brian Kelly?
New head coach Butch Jones is no slouch and had great success with the Central Michigan offense during his tenure there, so the offense looks to be in pretty good hands.

CONNECTICUT

Best Bet: RB Jordan Todman
Had an impressive season of almost 1200 yards rushing and 14 scores. May be even better now with the departure of Andre Dixon.

Sleeper Potential: WR Mike Smith
Smith had a huge spring game and is one to watch in the passing game.

Biggest Fantasy Question: Can the Husky offense become balanced with a better passing attack?
Zach Frazer has looked good this spring and it will be up to him to keep defenses honest this fall.

LOUISVILLE

Best Bet: RB Victor Anderson
The pickings are slim fantasy wise at Louisville and Anderson appears to be the best option.

Sleeper Potential: WR Doug Beaumont
The 2nd leading receiver returns for the Cardinals.

Biggest Fantasy Question: Who will win the starting QB job?
Adam Froman and Justin Burke are competing for the job.

PITTSBURGH

Best Bet: RB Dion Lewis and WR Jonathan Baldwin
Lewis burst onto the scene last year and had a season for the ages. He will highly prized on draft day and should be a top tier RB in most league formats. Baldwin showcased his skills with plenty of deep pass receptions and eight scores.

Sleeper Potential: RB Ray Graham
He showed flashes of his potential last year in a back up role to Dion Lewis. He should see more carries this season and at worst would make a terrific handcuff pick for Lewis owners.

Biggest Fantasy Question: What can we expect at the QB position?
Tino Sunseri is an unknown commodity but those in the Pitt community seem to think he'll be serviceable.

RUTGERS

Best Bet: WR Mohamed Sanu
Sanu did his best Percy Harvin impersonation last season and should see plenty of carries and receptions in 2010. He has huge value as a WR with the rushing attempts that he garners.

Sleeper Potential: RB Joe Martinek
“Jersey Joe” as he is affectionately known is the #1 back for the Scarlet Knights and should see a steady dose of carries.

Biggest Fantasy Question: Will Tom Savage develop enough to ignite the passing game?
Savage was solid as a freshman, but will need to take his game up a notch to keep 8 men out of the box.

SOUTH FLORIDA

Best Bet: QB BJ Daniels
Daniels showed his rushing ability and could be on the verge of greatness if he can improve his passing just a bit.

Sleeper Potential: WR Dontavia Bogan
Bogan had a monster spring game and looks to be the Bulls #1 option in the passing game.

Biggest Fantasy Question: How will the offense look different under Skip Holtz?
Holtz has already said that he would like to see less running from the QB position and more carries for the RB’s.

SYRACUSE

Best Bet: RB Delone Carter
Carter is suspended for an assault charge but is supposedly going to return to the team in the fall. If he does return, he should be the top offensive weapon for the Cuse.

Sleeper Potential: WR Alec Lemon
Lemon had a good spring game and should be a top receiving option for Syracuse.

Biggest Fantasy Question: Will Syracuse produce any viable fantasy options in 2010?
Other than Delone Carter it could be difficult to find much fantasy love from the Cuse this season.

WEST VIRGINIA

Best Bet: RB Noel Devine
This dynamic runner returns for his senior year and should not disappoint fantasy owners. He should help carry many fantasy teams this season.

Sleeper Potential: QB Geno Smith
Smith will have the opportunity to run the Mountaineers spread offense and has the skill set to do it very well.

Biggest Fantasy Question: How good can the West Virginia offense be in 2010?
With 9 returning starters, the Mountaineers could be very good and put some nice numbers of the board.
