With an eye on intriguing fantasy matchups, we have examined the schedule and come up with some games that should certainly make fantasy owners salivate. Fantasy points should be a plenty in all of these contests, so kick back and enjoy.

Week 1:

Purdue @ Notre Dame

The Boilers can always put up points in this match up. Notre Dame could be scary good offensively under Brian Kelly.

Cincinnati @ Fresno State
Cincy should continue to roll up points and yards under Butch Jones while Fresno is sneaky good offensively.

SMU @ Texas Tech
All I can say is “wow”. This one should be wild with both offenses moving up and down the field at will.

Week 2:

UTEP @ Houston

We all know how potent the Houston offense is year in and year out and this UTEP team led by Donald Buckram can pile up the points as well.

Troy @ Oklahoma State
This game should be explosive with the always high-powered Troy offense lining up against the new Houston-like Cowboys.

Week 3:

Arkansas @ Georgia
While the SEC is known for staunch defenses, there are also some very good offenses with Arkansas and Georgia fitting the bill. This should not be a typical SEC defensive masterpiece.

Cincinnati @ NC State
Look for plenty of fireworks in this contest. This could resemble more of a basketball game than a football game.

Tulsa @ Oklahoma State
The Pokes appear on our list two weeks in a row with another tempting match up. Tulsa should be prolific on offense once again in 2010 and Oklahoma State will be more than happy to light up the scoreboard.

San Diego State @ Missouri
This could be an underrated game in regards to fantasy production. Both teams posses excellent aerial attacks and neither is great at stopping the pass.

Week 4:

Nevada @ BYU

The BYU offense should be gelling by this time in the season and the rushing attack of Nevada should be churning up the yards and scores in this contest.

Oregon State @ Boise State
These two teams could move the ball up and down the blue turf all day long. The Rodgers brothers will be tough for the Broncos to stop and the potent Boise offense should present plenty of challenges for the Beavers D.

Oklahoma @ Cincinnati
This big non-conference game could turn into a shoot out right before our eyes. The Sooners should explosive in 2010 and the Bearcats can score with anyone in the country.

Week 5:

Texas A&M @ Oklahoma State

This should be a good old-fashioned Big 12 shootout. Fantasy owners would probably want to start any players they have from either team in this game.

La Tech @ Hawaii
A high scoring affair could break out on the “Big Island”. Both teams should be winging the ball all over the place and putting up plenty of gaudy stats.

Michigan @ Indiana
I think this might be one of those sneaky Big 10 games that turns into a back and forth offensive display. Neither team plays much defense and both offenses are more than capable of posting large numbers.

Week 6:

Troy @ Middle Tennessee State

A Sun Belt slugfest appears imminent here. The Trojans are always strong on the offensive side of the ball and the Raiders are no slouches either especially with Dwight Dasher leading the way.

Arkansas @ Texas A&M
This could be one of the top fantasy games of the entire season in 2010. These teams combined for nearly 900 yards of offense and 66 points when they met last season.

Purdue @ Northwestern
These teams always seem to get involved in crazy, high scoring games when they meet. Expect some fireworks in Evanston.

Week 7:

Nevada @ Hawaii
Points should be a plenty in this WAC contest. Hawaii ranked 107th against the run last season and Nevada ranked 119th in the nation against the pass.

Oklahoma State @ Texas Tech
Two high-powered offenses should light up the scoreboard in this contest. Owners will want to start any fantasy relevant players from either team this week.

Oregon State @ Washington
Both of these teams have plenty of weapons on the offensive side of the ball. The Rodgers brothers will give the Huskies defense all that they can handle and the trio of Jake Locker, Chris Polk, and Jermaine Kearse could cause fits for the Beavers defense.

Week 8:

Houston @ SMU

A track meet may break out when these two teams tussle in Dallas. The Cougars ranked No. 1 in the country pass the ball last season while the Mustangs were not too shabby either, ranking an impressive 15th in the land. Points, points, and more points.

Michigan State @ Northwestern
This game could fly under the radar fantasy wise, but that could turn out to be a mistake. The Spartans are loaded at the WR position and have quality players at both the QB and RB position as well. The Wildcats never seem to mind getting involved in a wild game.

Week 9:

Florida State @ NC State
This ACC affair should be fun to watch for fantasy owners. Both offenses are loaded and neither team seems to play anything resembling defense, so this could be very entertaining.

Tulsa @ Notre Dame
Both of these teams should sport strong offensive units in 2010. QB GJ Kinne will lead the Golden Hurricane and Dayne Crist and Michael Floyd will lead the Golden Domers. Expect a bunch of points in South Bend.

Texas Tech @ Texas A&M
These potent offenses combined for 82 points and a remarkable 1079 total yards when they collided last season. Need I say more?

Week 10:

Hawaii @ Boise State
The points should be prevalent when these teams battle on the blue turf. The Hawaii offense should be improved in 2010 while the Broncos should continue to be an offensive juggernaut this fall.

Arizona @ Stanford
This game might not strike people as a fantasy bonanza, but that notion may change when its revealed that the teams combined for 81 points and an obscene 1,137 total yards last year. Both Andrew Luck and Nick Foles threw for over 400 yards and 3 scores in this game last fall.

Week 11:

Tulsa @ Houston

Neither one of these teams will ever be accused of running a conservative or boring offense, which is a good thing from a fantasy perspective. These teams put up 91 combined points and an eye popping 1,229 total yards when the met in 2009.

Nevada @ Fresno State
The Bulldogs don’t seem able to stop the run and the Wolf Pack look inept at stopping the pass, so look for a high scoring game when they meet. Fresno ranked 111th against the run last season, while Nevada was an abysmal 119th versus the pass. Prediction……….points!

UTEP @ Arkansas
The highly productive offenses of the Miners and Razorbacks will square off in what could be a fantasy smorgasbord. With Donald Buckram leading the way, UTEP could be ready to play with Mallett and the boys.

Week 12:

Houston @ Southern Miss
Both offenses are high octane and should continue that trend this season. When they met in 2009, there were a mere 83 points and 1,358 total yards tallied. Wohoooooooooooooooo……

Purdue @ Michigan State
Both the Boilers and Spartans offenses should be humming by the time they meet in East Lansing.

Week 13:

Southern Miss @ Tulsa
This matchup just oozes potential for fantasy fire works. 1,000 total yards and 85 total points could be well within reach.

Boise State @ Nevada
This game could be huge for both fantasy purposes and conference title purposes. Look for Colin Kaepernick and Vai Taua to lead the charge against Kellen Moore, Austin Pettis, and Titus Young.

Houston @ Texas Tech
The Red Raiders will be looking for revenge of last season’s disappointing loss to the Cougars in September. The two schools combined for 1,063 total yards in 2009 and could even top that total this time around. Sit back and enjoy this one.
