Our founders are diehard college football geeks who happen to be software professionals by trade. After spending twenty-plus combined years in the Corporate America software grind, we're finally putting our energy into something we're truly passionate about: college fantasy football. The game is our livelihood and we're hellbent on being successful with it.
Over a short period of time, our site has gained a strong following. The momentum is building. Our staff is growing. Several of our top readers, decorated with outstanding football credentials, have joined our team. We know our stuff. We understand what it takes to win college fantasy football leagues. It's a different animal than the pro game.

Our History
The year was 1999. A few of us had been playing NFL fantasy for a decade, but college football was our true passion. Why not take the fantasy principles from the pro game and translate it over to college?
There was very little college fantasy information on the web in '99, so we rounded up some guys and scraped together a college fantasy football league of our own. We tracked our stats by hand and created elaborate Excel player ranking spreadsheets - those years are now affectionately referred to as "The Caveman Days". Over time, we perfected the art of college fantasy football, and started dominating leagues.
The years rolled on and the college game began to gain some internet traction, yet we always felt unsatisfied with the quality of information available. By combining our intense research methods, applying our proven winning strategies, and tapping into years of software experience, we knew we could create a premier college fantasy football site. A site we would find interesting and helpful. After all, we are our own target audience!
After many years of procrastination, we finally put our money where our mouth was and took the plunge. CollegeFootballGeek.com was launched in August of 2008.
